Funny watching it and then my Name being dropped hahah... good work I ended up buying a different harness bar were the end plate are on a bolt and can pivot or be reversed and am mid way fitting it . I concluded i would be actually be adding a bar that goes back into the rear strut tower and the end plate will mount to that. . I am also a big guy 5.8 and 300 pound . Bought a sparco sprint L . I Race the car and street it . but have an extra issue you don't have . My steering wheel is on the right. So the floor has an extra hump for the exhaust so can't get the seat as low . Im looking to cut the hump out and square off the floor.
I’ve see the passenger side be a real challenge! It’s pretty crazy just how little room there is in here and how big of a difference one inch can be. As you were saying, even on the drivers side there’s no way to mount anything conventionally to the stock locations because a big guy seat will over EVERYTHING up unless there’s sliders. But sliders eat up 1” min, and that’s not acceptable for me lol. So gonna be bolting to the floor, but my leg length puts it RIGHT on the little tube that the stock front holes are in.
@@theoegarage Hey thanks for the rapid reply! I've got another question if it isn't a bother! I have an S5, and in the video you were describing you think it would fit better in an S5 than an S4, I assume then that the lower belts are mounted in a different place than an S4? Or is there some other reason it would fit better in the S5?
@darkrage1138 I think the auto seatbelt mounting positions are different than the S4. (Further back) which may work better with the support bar lengths
Great video! I'll definitely subscribe for your efforts and clear information.

How's the clearance to the storage bins? Can you still open them fully or do they hit the bar?
They hit the bar close to vertical, so not terrible as that’s about where I opened them to before having the bar there!

Does your S5 have auto belts?
@@theoegarage Yea it does
