Aww, brings back memories of when my dad would do that with me and my siblings! I felt like I was so high up! My dad was always careful with us even if it felt like we're going to fall! My dad's 76 yrs. old now with lots of grandkids, he lets us do that with the kids now..He's like, "No way, I can barely stand up"! Plus he had lower back surgery, still is a real estate broker and a musician, he doesn't want to stop moving, just a lot slower now 💖
I love it when my dad did the Shepard's carry. Where I would be placed horizontally across his shoulders and he would hold my hands on his right and my feet on his left (Like a sheep). That was a lot of fun!
You misses the one right after the "look mum, no hands carry", it's the classic "Dad gets demoted to the couch for messing around with the kid on his shoulder carry". XD
Please make a video "The difference between Brazil and New Zealand". I'm Brazilian and I live in Queenstown, have a lot of Brazilians here. Thank you for your videos.
A few more: "the "tandem firemans carry, the "little bit too fast carry" which may require the "emergency [ankle hoist, spin child and] lower" also big with younger shoulder riders in our family is the "AMAZING THING shoulder bail"- anything or anyone 'more amazing' can bring this on. For older children the "giggly fallback" (see emergency lower) "the "tandem firemans carry" the "front, back, left, right agility routine" keeps confident shoulder riders on edge, though watch out for eye gouging etc if you panic them... Knowing your overhead clearance saves tears- hence the slow "are we all good?" half-crouch duck-walk through doorways. The "pathfinder" -"Where's Mum?" "I da no.... [point where you can't see ] .. -DERe!" The "Ear-steer" "Ear-grab" "Ear-clean" The "rest on your head" leads into the "sleep on/drool on your head." So be prepared to "graduate" them or else wear a pillow & swimming goggles, and hold on... Love your channel.
I was carrying my 8 month old daughter on my shoulders and felt a sudden rise in temperature on my neck, almost immediately following a warm drip down the top of my head. Alone with two kids in the a crowded cafeteria, poopstain on my neck and vomit on my head. It was an unpleasant meal. The cafeteria food, I mean.
I'm pretty sure my dad put me on his shoulders because I was too slow to keep up with him if we were out walking, lol. Either way, great memory when I was little!! Yes, it was a sad day when he told me I was too big to be up on his shoulders anymore. ☹️ At least after the shoulders it turned into piggy back rides for awhile! ..... and then until I got too big for that too 😢
The few times I've carried a kid on my shoulders, the kid always seems to think it's fun to fray my nerves by letting go of my head and leaning back. Then you have to quickly bend your body into a 90 degree angle to keep the kid from falling!
The over protective carry is me ... I usually won't even offer to carry them on my shoulders . I am too scared of them falling off ! 😞 i was afraid watching you carry your own kids ! 😱😆
New dads everywhere, Be careful! Better the super caucious mode. You may not have practiced as much as How to Dad have doing all these videos since his kids were new borns... 👍
Oh the giggles! Such a sweet sound! She clearly had a ton of fun. 😊 The fireman is what my dad used to call the "sack of potatoes." Lol
Glamour N' Nail For us, it was the ROTTEN sack of potatoes! 😆
Her laugh is gold !!!!!!!!!!!
You forgot the "Oh crap they're slipping down my back one leg grab carry"
yes!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
You forgot when you go through a door and bonk them on the top of the doorway, that's a classic in our house...
kids would be harmed in the making of that video
Haha yes this one!
My dad did that to me when I was little...still haven't fully recovered from that... but fun memories haha
@@AngelaWakeUp 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol! Knock some sense into ‘em
How many How-To-Dads were harmed in the making of this video?
This is one of the most wholesome parent and child channels I've come across. So sweet and adorable!
That was an impressive jump!
Yes! My goal was to get you to say something! Me and my daughter love your videos!
Her laugh is so contagious! 😆
That "whoa" when Dad realized neither of them were holding on!
The giggles!! SO adorable!!!
Her laugh at the end!!! Love it!
The girls are getting so big! And the best in my opinion is the lazy dad😂👍😄💚

I love see and hearing how much your children love interacting with you in your videos. You're obviously a very hands on dad which is awesome to see.
She looks so happy 😍🤣
Loved the smile HTD gave her after the high 5.
I love that he did it with the baby, too.
As always... quite instructional :)
Your girls had so much fun. Good dad 🥇
I love it when my dad did the Shepard's carry. Where I would be placed horizontally across his shoulders and he would hold my hands on his right and my feet on his left (Like a sheep). That was a lot of fun!
She had way too much fun when you made this one.
You are hilarious! Thanks for the laugh!

This channel is one of a kind
How's your back now?! 🤣 cute and funny as always 😁
Still remember my dad doing this for me.And graduating to a piggie back carry. That was the early 70s!
Some of us are 2 meters tall and risk losing a child to a low hanging branch or doorway if we put them on our shoulders
Some risks are worth taking...
@@kepler80 Lmao
Your daughter got so big!! ❤️
Another winner!! 👍🏼
What about the nostril-stretch carry?
.... It’s been known to happen.👃🏼
You forgot the "she'll be right" 😂😂

You misses the one right after the "look mum, no hands carry", it's the classic "Dad gets demoted to the couch for messing around with the kid on his shoulder carry". XD

How do you get them to stop pulling your hair?
You just embrace it.
Shave it all off.
@@thomasyates3078 they will grab your ears or face then.
Tell them to knock it off or they're not allowed to ride on your shoulders ever again! There, empty threats always work. 😁
You forgot the aeroplane carry! Where you hold their arms out like an aeroplane. 😀
How to DAD can't argue with that!
No shoulders were harmed in the making of this vedio.
Oh you forgot the pulling the ears carry.
I used to love being carried on my dads shoulders. He was 2m tall XD
I used to do the "ow my hair" carry but my dad doesn't have any hair on the top of his head so he was never bothered lol
The over protective carry is me ... I usually won't even offer to carry them on my shoulders . I am too scared of them falling off ! 😞 i was afraid watching you carry your own kids ! 😱😆
When I was little, my over 6 foot tall cousin had me on his shoulders and forgot to duck to go into a doorway. Almost knocked my head off!
my dad did that with an overhead tree branch and it me in the face as a 1 year-old, my mum thought it was funny :(
Limbo Carry, under low doorways.
I remember my graduation from my dads shoulders :'(
graduation carry XD
The fact that there are less than 10 dislikes in this video is amazing
that is so sweet :)
You missed the side shoulder carry
Definitely guilty of the over protective shoulder carry
That is funny.
Hahahahahaha crack up
Cant stop laughing and support here in taupo
two children were harmed in making of this video
