For me there‘s nothing wrong about wanting to visit close countries... they aren‘t less beautiful or interesting just because they are close... Far away doesn‘t necessarily mean „better“ or „more interesting“. There‘s so much to see and to experience even in your own country... 😊 (Plus it‘s a nice contribution to environmental protection when you don‘t fly around the world all the time... 😉)
I have already been to all nine neighbouring countries to Germany. Even i liked most of them a lot i would probably also say a more far away place. Maybe just because there is some "magic" in visiting a far away place you have never been with a completly different culture. ✌
With its many historic cities and small towns, along with an abundance of forests and mountains, visitors are spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing a unique place to visit. Those wanting to sightsee or experience the arts should head to the metropolitan areas such as Munich, Frankfurt, or Hamburg.

It is rude to address old people "du" in German. I know you Swedes no longer recognise a difference between formal "Sie" and informal "du", but it still exists in German
@@Martina-Kosicanka Also, things are changing fast, you can now usually use "Du" in many situations, including when young people address young people on the streets. In most shops, people now use "du" regardless of age in big cities.
@@thomaseck3210 Interesting. Especially the thing with shops. But you wouldn't address, those two elderly guys in informal way, when asking for an interview, would you? We have this "duzen" thing (formal/informal structure of sentence), too in Slovakia. Addressing a person of younger generation informally is very common, addressing a stranger of your generation this way is an option, but addressing somebody older ten and more years then you, would be considered rude. The same would be with addressing a person of authority ( a teacher, a police officer, a boss,...) and even those who are doing their job ( a clerk, a waiter..). Other rules regarding this don't apply any longer that strictly, like that only woman can suggest transition between formal and informal you. (vy=Sie, ty=du)
You are basically right! But I think that as soon as people realize that the person addressing them is not a native speaker, they won‘t consider them rude anymore... Well, thinking of my late mother-in-law, she would have... So you‘re double right, better be careful... 😂

For me there‘s nothing wrong about wanting to visit close countries... they aren‘t less beautiful or interesting just because they are close... Far away doesn‘t necessarily mean „better“ or „more interesting“. There‘s so much to see and to experience even in your own country... 😊
(Plus it‘s a nice contribution to environmental protection when you don‘t fly around the world all the time... 😉)
I have already been to all nine neighbouring countries to Germany. Even i liked most of them a lot i would probably also say a more far away place. Maybe just because there is some "magic" in visiting a far away place you have never been with a completly different culture. ✌
@@muskoxi9886 : Oh the “Mystical/Magical” notion in visiting faraway lands describes it quite well!
I agree with that.

Gustav is from Denmark.
@@vaniukk3100 Oh, my bad

Isnt it really easy to go anywhere in Europe if you are in Europe?
Not really.... even if I am in 1 hour in Hungary I have never been there because... eh... don't really know... its just the different culture 🤔

It still costs money, not everyone can afford it
