Down Brownie FTW! Both great but the down brownie edges the Suhr out to me as just an amazingly well rounded musical tone, and the Suhr amp is great as it is. We are blessed.
exactly why bias vary (wiggle) tremolo is so musical and generally prefered over roach driven trems; bias vary gets out of the way of the note ensuring every note is rung out... Roach driven trems will bury or hide notes depending on what part of the tremolo signal the note is played.. PS you can rebias the Suhr so the tremolo deepens..even a few mA cooler will make a big difference
Great video! Have an hombre head and 2x12 cab on order. I picked up a tone king iron man II, works excellent on my SV20H and MetroAmps JTM45 head. Even at low volume I get speaker thump.
I am admittedly NOT the brightest bulb in the box, but what is the point of jumpering the two (Normal and Bright) Channels on the Hombre, when the Volume setting of the Normal Channel is at zero?!#%&? How does that accomplish anything?

I’ve had my Down Brownie for two years now. It’s my favorite amp in my possession right now. So versatile, and can do so much! Plus it is LIGHT!

They both sound 'killer', so it's kinda hard to justify the Down Brownie at nearly DOUBLE the price!

Both great amps. The Suhr is a better deal in my opinion. I tossed these around, but ended up going Dr. Z Z28 Mkii.
