@@4MRanch thanks. I just installed mine. I had them about half inch from each other. Couldn’t get my fingers in the crevice to pinch them down so hopefully they stay. Thanks
The 94 is not a 4mix. So it’s engine looks completely different. I have a 94 but I’ve never had to work on it yet so I don’t know much about it really.
It might be flooded. Take the spark plug out turn the fs90 over to where the spark plug hole is facing down give it 5 or 6 pulls. Dry the plug off if it looks oiled then put it back in and try to start it.
Prime it 6 times to push some fuel in the carb. Choke it all the way an pull till it kicks over like it’s going to start then Unchoke it and it should start.
What a waste of time. All the gunk on motor & fuel tank was not from a leaking seal, but spilled, leaking gas & some residue from burning gas with an oil mix. All weed eaters have that gunk build up after a time.
Nice video, I look ing for a cam gear for the fs100stilh can you advise me where I can get one to buy?
Look on eBay or probably have to go to a stihl dealer
Since there are no notches on the rings, do you put the ring gap on opposite ends?
Yeah you don’t want the ring gaps being inline I just turn one

@@4MRanch sorry very late reply but I will try this in the afternoon
Did you find out what wrong ?
Did you fix it ??????
Yes after I re sealed the crank case to stop the oil from leaking out I also put a new carburetor on it and a throttle cable.

Definitely was a leaking seal but ok. Thanks for watching the video.
That was painful to watch.
sorry you had to sit through it
