Loved this video. So many great memories. We first visited Venice when we cruised on Royal Caribbean’s Splendour of the Seas ( no longer in the fleet) and we were lucky to cruise directly from Venice. We stayed two nights pre cruise at the Hotel Papadopoli. Convenient to the cruise and bus terminal but still needs a bridge or two. Fell in love with the house wine here. So much better than the U.S. We were back exactly the same week the following year after our Celebrity Equinox cruise. Hot and crowded doesn’t even begin to describe this visit. If you have never visited this beautiful place do so. Just get lost and wander the streets.
That is awesome that was my first cruise back in 2008 (Josh) it was 7nt Greek Isles & Dalmatian Coast Cruise on Splendour of the Seas. Huge difference having to take a 3 hour bus ride from the terminal to walking right off the cruise ship to our hotel. Did enjoy it a lot and could have used one more day to slow down a little but had a great time
So freaking awesome...What's up with Josh and Pistachios?..LOL...Looked amazing. I think your last dinner was my favorite. Except the fried potatoes..BWAHAHA....Starving so now to order some grub..Great video as usual!
I LOVED Venice! This video brought back some beautiful memories. I remember it rained briefly and St. Mark’s Square flooded just a little. An hour later the sun came out and the water disappeared.
I've been to Venice 5 times, and loved every minute of it. You did an amazing job presenting all that the city has to offer. Loved following your adventure! It looks like you had an amazing time! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks for showing us your experience guys. Simone and I hope to be there in early December for probably 3 or 4 days as part of our Italy vacation! You definitely are giving us lots of ideas and stuff to look forward to! Great Vlog, thanks for the great information.
Thanks Andy and Simone, you will love it, I am sure. It was crazy hot for us in August so I am guessing December will be a bit easier to handle. Can't wait til you guys go and share your trips with us! Hit me up if you have any questions further.
Love it!! I could have used one of those gondolas at the lazy river last week but I don't think it would have handled the turns very well 🤣 I Love all of this for you!! 🥳🥰🙌
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Venice along the grand canal. I loved everything about it. We got so lost in Venice we were asking the local kids to point us toward the Rialto. Hoping we can get back there one day.
"RITCHIE!!!!!!!" Yea.....you always get the pasta in Italy. Always skip the line. If that's an option. Amazing to see the real thing. Kristina wants to go now, and I need to get to Costco for prilosec and tums. Great video!
haha we did pack tums with us for this trip knowing we were going to overeat a bit, did pretty good about it. Such a beautiful place you guys should definitely check it out
I love Venice 💙 great video it’s bring me back when I when in Oct 2017 we when to Rome and did the skip the line at the Vatican it’s was will worth it !!! Can’t wait to see your next adventure Josh and Rachel happy traveling !!! 💙💙💙
You both are amazing! You never disappoint your fans with tour detail, food selection, highlights, travel tips, etc. You have created a travel video with a professional flair. You accent each segment with appropriately framed footage and musical background. You have shown evolved your channel into a Television worthy documentary. Venice was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for all your hard work creating this for our viewing pleasure. UA-cam should give out awards for excellence 🏆👏👏👏👏
Wow Ted thank you so much. We truly enjoy these types of videos. They allow us to see the world, and bring people along with us. We know we are not experts or travel guides but we do the best we can with the time and money we have. Love that you appreciate it.
Sunday greetings kids ! I loved the opening with the Italian music . I’ve been to Venice twice and it’s one of my favorite places . The weather looked perfect . And only 4 Bellinis ? Lightweights lol . As for your pronunciations…they weren’t bad . I can say that as a 💯 percent Italian. Full name is Antonio Giuseppe . I speak some Italian …enough to get by on vacation. Great video . Really enjoyed it 😎😎😎
Sooo Great!! This is bringing back memories - that area and the food!! (I once saw a coffin in a boat going to the mainland. eek) Great syncing the music to footage too!!!
Josh and Rachel, you had the BEST weather during your visit to Venice. Which month were you guys in Venice? My parents visited Venice before the Covid-19 pandemic, and they said it rained non-stop for the 4 days that they were there and St. Mark's Square was flooded. Their holiday in Venice was a wash-out.
We were there in August and it was amazing and beautiful and hot! Josh’s first visit had water in St. Mark’s square so he can relate! Thanks for sharing!
Depends on how active you want to be. We had 48 hours and feel we would have benefitted from one more day for sure. Sometimes when we go go go you just want another day to decide if you saw and did everything you truly wanted so for us we would have liked a 3rd day to feel comfortable.
Thanks for getting back to me. I promised my wife almost 24 years ago, when we were in college, that I would take her to Venice one day. I have three days, and I have to decide between Milan and Venice. Would you say Venice is worth it?@@JoshRachael
We have never been to Milan so I can't really say if Venice is better than Milan. We have watched Bill and Lisa on UA-cam go to Milan and it looks nice but Venice has a bit more an aura about it for us, so we are happy we ended up in Venice instead. It is just so unique and different than pretty much anywhere in the world. We absolutely loved it
What was the hotel you stayed at in Venice? I tried to look up Hotel Bono (Venice) but Google only found the singer Bono leaving the Hotel Cipriani in Venice 😂
Josh here, I will admit the first time I went to Italy back in 2008 I did not find it that much better than anything in the US. This time around I tried to do a bit more research and we definitely found some really good spots that we enjoyed, loved the first lunch and dinner, the sandwich shop was awesome. We filmed another cicchetti spot that was not good, the final dinner spot we weren’t able to eat at the spot we planned on - needed a reservation so our last dinner was good for a backup but not as special
Some constructive feedback.... I love watching you guys, but I would suggest working on editing. 43 minutes is a lot to commit to in a YT vlog. I would recommend trying to keep each to 15 mins or less. Break them up if necessary. I believe this will ultimately lead to more views. Good luck and thanks for the work you put into these.
Thank you for the feedback. We understand that there are different things we could do to make the videos more appealing to a casual viewer, like making them shorter, and more focus on information giving and research but we truly enjoy traveling and want to keep it as our vacation and less about work. While these do tend to be longer than other videos, they are not meant to be a tips and tricks style video but more what a regular person can expect to partake in.
Ma quelle musichette di sottofondo , che peraltro sono uguali in tutti i vedeo che riguardano l'Italia , dove le prendete? Sono a dir poco stucchevoli.
We were there a couple of weeks ago - an amazing place - had fun trying to run through the city to catch the sunrise LOL .. ua-cam.com/video/T1J2igqytuw/v-deo.html

I LOVED Venice! This video brought back some beautiful memories. I remember it rained briefly and St. Mark’s Square flooded just a little. An hour later the sun came out and the water disappeared.
Glad you enjoyed it and the first time Josh visited, he recalled standing water there as well! Luckily we didn’t have any rain this time!!

Your Venice video was fabulous! I felt as if I was there with you!
Thank you so much!
Breathtsking guys! Beautiful video thanks for sharing 🍻
Our pleasure! Thank you for coming along with us
Awesome video! Looking to spend 2 days in Venice (Sept 2025) before Greece cruise.
That’s awesome, we ended out Greece cruise with Venice!
The good news about Venice, you don't have to worry about someone knocking you on the head in those small alley ways, even at night. A great city.
Totally true, we felt totally safe the whole time! Even wandering at night in and out of the tourist area

Were you able to photograph inside st. marks ?

Thanks for all the info on Venice! Do you guys use an e sim when traveling? If so which one do you use. We will be in Venice in May. Thanks
Some great tips (wc coins!) and nice music too! Enjoyed it!
Thank you Mickey
What month did you guys travel to venice? Is October a good time to go ?
This was mid August we think October would be decent for temps but I would check when their Rainey season is
Great video! Looks amazing.
Thanks so much!
Color looks awesome here.
Ok so something last fall it seems changed.
Thanks for sharing. I want to so return to Italy.
You should!
Loved Venice and can’t wait to go back!! ❤
❤️
Great vlog from Venice.
Thank you! We had a great time!
Nice video. Would be nice to know when you were there since you kept talking about the heat. I don't think this is from October.
Thank you, this was mid August 2023
We’ll be there next Saturday 😊
Hope you have a great time!
When were you there ?
August
What was the name of the restaurant on your first evening please
It is called Bacarandino. I will post the link to their instagram!

My wife and I are going in April on a 12 day trip, three days in Venice. Can you recommend a condo or hotel ?
We really enjoyed Hotel Bucintoro!
I am thinking about traveling to Venice. I have 8 days off. I am wondering how many days is to many to spend in Venice. Thanks!

What month did you go?
This was in late August
What was the hotel you stayed at in Venice? I tried to look up Hotel Bono (Venice) but Google only found the singer Bono leaving the Hotel Cipriani in Venice 😂
haha sorry about that, we stayed at Hotel Bucintoro, we do recommend it if you can get a decent price. We paid 486 Euros for 2 nights.
How did you guys like the food ? Not sure I’m a fan of the real thing lol

@@JoshRachael... soprattutto se mangi la pizza e la carbonara a Venezia 😮😂
So you both look Italian and totally at home at the cafe in Venezia 🇮🇹
Haha we do our best to fit in
Hello what the name of the hotel

On your first trip to Venice you should take a water taxi to your hotel.
Yes!!! 🙌🏼
29 Euro a sandwich??? Wow! Italians know how to kill!
29 Euros for two meal sized sandwiches and two wines.
Ma quelle musichette di sottofondo , che peraltro sono uguali in tutti i vedeo che riguardano l'Italia , dove le prendete? Sono a dir poco stucchevoli.
UA-cam provides it, I’m sure that’s why lots use the same
Also, so surprised how small the rooms were for the price we paid. Gosh, though, I want to return just for the food!!!
For sure the rooms are quite small but good location and easy access for us was awesome
We were there a couple of weeks ago - an amazing place - had fun trying to run through the city to catch the sunrise LOL .. ua-cam.com/video/T1J2igqytuw/v-deo.html
Awesome
Ma la musica napoletana a Venezia NOOO 😢
OK
