There's a very good reason for that. They did on national TV and it was an embarrassment. The subject in the photo was actually that of Moses Horwotiz in his 70s. That is, Moe from the Three Stooges. It's pretty embarrassing to think a picture of an exceedingly famous Jewish comedian was Hitler.

Jerry Thomas that’s the history channel I grew up with, all the great documentaries and Mail Call with Lee Ermey was what made it my favorite channel, entertaining and you actually learned something not like 90% of the stuff they pump out now.

The reason why you don't see the photo is because the person in the picture is not Adolf, it's Moe Howard, either the guy who gave this to them didn't know, or was trolling on an expert level. Like let's give a picture to some so called experts of one of the most famous comedians of the 20th century who was also jewish.

Watched the first season up to like episode 8. Then lost track. I guess it just become a "we have a picture of a guy this is a big step. Let's scan this property" only to find a septic tank kinda show. It become over dramatized.

Something about the presentation is almost like watching a Bourne movie. Captain Red Rum You're missing the point. THEY didn't debunk it. Someone else did, after which they tried to downplay it. Bottom line, somebody knowingly downloaded that photo, flipped the image over, cropped out the details that would have given it away and printed it out to look like an old black and white photo, down to the scalloped edges that I remember from old pictures of my family from the 50's and 60's. And I doubt that it was the guy in Argentina who did it. Even if they weren't the ones behind the fraud, they should have told the full truth of it once the details came out if they want any claim to credibility or integrity. That they just said "Oops, it's not him, never mind" shows very clearly what a lie the whole thing is.
