- Pope Francis is in Georgia to mend relations between the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, who have been divided for almost 1,000 years.
But Orthodox priests have been protesting against his visit, claiming it is an affront to the purity of the Georgian Orthodox religion and people.
Religious and right-wing nationalists have been active in Georgia in advance of parliamentary elections next weekend.
Al Jazeera’s Robin Forestier-Walker reports from Tbilisi.

If you read the history correctly the Syriac Chaldean church from Iraq were the first to send bishops to india..and hence the Syriac tradition in India..however the Chaldean Church at that time was already in full communion with the Pope of Rome..and only after did the Syriac Church of Antioch followed suit... So it was the Chaldean Catholic Church that first Evangelise and send bishops to india and India was never meant to be Orthodox

Whenever you have very very intense and now ancient intertwined ecclesiastical and geopolitical connections such as this the inevitable results are just as we are seeing here. Injustices have been committed on both sides. But this all pertains to the Churches. The Kingdom of God and His Christ is in perfect condition and harmony in spite of what seems to be - and is at present - invisibility. Those who have already transcended the walls and barriers the "Church Mentality" can see and experience the Perfect Unity and Oneness of the Kingdom in Christ. The others are but striving to accomplish what Christ Jesus has already done. They proclaim it as a future event that which is hidden in plain sight. But this must be so that the Word of God is fulfilled even the sure Word of Prophecy spoken by The King Himself. At His birth He was announced as The King, He was tried as a King, crowned as The King, and proclaimed as THE KING as He hung mutilated on His Throne here below. That's what is still seen. Faith sees Him seated on His true Throne of Glory now, not in some distant future.✨👑

Do you know that you owe the Bible to the Catholic Church? Did you know that the Bible was compiled by the Catholic Church in the Councils of Rome, Carthage and Hippo, and that the Bible that is used is tha Canon that Pope Damasus I employed.
You are judging, study at leas a little of philosophy, because if you want to know something you have to start from a general rule to then go to a particular one (uneversal to particular), but you do it the other way around (experimental way). The experimental way can or cannot be true.
It's like saying: "it's raining and its cloudy", then when it's cloudy it rains (this could be true, but not all the time); when you say it's raining and it's cloudy, then every time it rains it's cloudy, then you can be correct.
Sometimes pride blinds people, just as i have seen this in a lot (not all) of «Orthodox Churches». The Orthodox Church is not one, there are many of them, and they usually belong to a certain country, and the Church that Christ founded is not only due to a country, but to all nations.
