  • I made this funeral tribute to commemorate the combined 13 years of dedicated police work Sergeant Sam Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter had. They were both shot on August 18 after responding to a shots fired call. Officer Baxter passed on August 18, followed by Sam Howard the following day
    They will be forever missed and the impact they made on their community will forever be remembered.
    Note: I am in no way affiliated with the Kissimmee, FL police department. This video was made by myself with the purpose of showing the true impact a loss of 2 law enforcement personell have on the community.

      Louis Johnson Is that really what they do? So they smell drugs or see something illegal in the car or have PC to search the cops shouldn’t? They should just let the person go? You know if you get something stolen, the person was pulled over for some other reason and they see that item, I guess that person won’t go to jail and you won’t get your item back since they can’t search or jail anyone now based on what you said.

    • @statetrooperast1044
      @statetrooperast1044 4 роки тому

      Louis Johnson They serve and protect and if someone is breaking the law they will put that person in jail if the don’t have officers discretion. Cops don’t make the laws, they enforce them.

    • @statetrooperast1044
      @statetrooperast1044 4 роки тому

      Louis Johnson I can see what your saying. But again police enforce the law, not make them. They can’t just let someone go if they have a lot of weed on them. It’s not just weed, it’s other drugs too. They can kill people. If someone has a little bit of weed on them most officers will let them go with just a ticket. If you have a lot, it’s another story. You also have to be truthful with them. Trust goes a long way and is better for you. When officers arrest people for drugs, gangs aren’t coming for you. It’s not like the movies. If it was a cartel or something, that’s for the feds. Most people that get arrested are just crackheads or people that just want to get high. If officers do smell drugs coming from the car, that’s enough PC to pull you out, detain you and search the vehicle. Drugs are a problem, and illegal in a lot of countries. If people are going to break then law, do it at home. Drug dealing is illegal and dangerous. The drugs can kill people. They want money, do it the legal way.

      That is a same bad and sad part of that job than standing on a door, and tell the husband of a Paramedic that his wife wouldn't come home anymore, because a 21 years old guy stabbed her while she tried to save a life.
      That I had to do in my very first month as Commander of that EMS Station.
      The worst was as I rang on the bell on the door her 6 years old daughter responded loudly yelling: Mommy is back home.
      After that I needed two Minutes to tell her husband what happened.
      Amd when I read here what some sick people write about officers down it makes me sad, that they can't get punished for that shit.

    I’m sitting here crying like a baby....my heart aches for these families now in 2020. I am grateful and so thankful for these men and their service. I am sure they are greatly missed. This takes me back to fall 2008, when a fellow church member, good friend, wonderful Christian man was taken from this life much too soon. Although it happened while not on duty, the loss, the pain, the grief was still just as real and an entire community mourned. We went to a Church that would “comfortably”seat appx 450. The auditorium was packed like a can of sardines.....the choir loft filled with emergency services workers, chairs lined the aisles and the back walls, people were standing, there was overflow in the vestibule. Closed circuit tv was set up in the Church gym for as many that could fit.....it was estimated there were around 1000 in attendance. At the grave side, mounted police, the K-9 officers & their partners, an empty police cruiser where we heard the final call, and living in SC there was a low flyover of a SLED helicopter. (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division). Just like I saw here, people standing along the roadside every where. Fire engines blocking intersections and paying tribute, SC Highway Patrol too. Never have I ever been to a funeral with such emotional, heartfelt, outpouring of love and respect.

The one thing is people of all different races, ethnicities, and nationalities coming together as a community, state and nation to honor two more fallen American heroes. These men did not apply for a job. The chose a lifetime of helping, protecting, listening, being there for others. They have seen horrors no one ever should. They try to keep a whole nation fair and just. They sleep with nightmares and wake with hope and meaning. Not every cop is like we all like to picture. Not every neighbour is who you think they are. But we are all human I wish things could change. And the hate and relevant items in are lives vansh But untill that day comes We have these brave men willing to help us live in normal life at the cost of there own..Greetings from Canada and Thank you

    I'm an officer in the UK and was on holiday in Kissimmee when this tragedy happened. My wife and I attended the evening event in Kissimmee shortly after. I purchased and still ware with pride a white Kissimmee PD t-shirt and paid my respects, but some how I felt as though I was intruding in some way.... Rest in peace gentlemen, respect to all US officers from a humble UK cop.

    I don’t understand how so many people can hate law enforcement officers.
    Officers risk EVERYTHING so YOU don’t have to.
    Officers leave their family and they leave the world so you don’t have to leave the world.
    A police officer gets killed in the line of duty every 53 hours and yet people still ask what good police do.
    Yes I know there are a lot of bad police officers in this world but a couple of officers shouldn’t make you hate all officers.
    A lot of officers have fallen and that is not a good thing.
    Thank you all so so so much for doing what you do.
    Thank you all so so so much for risking everything.
    Thank you all so so so much for being a police officer.
    Thank you

    This has truly been heart breaking to hear and see the funeral procession. We have a great community that have shown much support. Light always outweighs darkness. Will definitely be praying for the families of both officers especially the immediate falmily.

    Only when the last Police Officer, Firefighter, Soldier and Paramedic hangs his or her Uniform on a nail and gives up his or her duty such asocial scumbags who calling these brave men and women names and calling them murderers and so on would understand what they lost.
    Best wishes from a former cop who's now a Paramedic Chief and proud daughter of a cop.
    Hope you'll never need one of us. But if you need you can be sure we would give our best possible to protect you. That's the way how we live.

    God bless Sergeant Sam Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter. They might not be able to read this, but I still want everyone else to know that these guys are fucking heroes. They died protecting civilians despite the fact that a lot of them actually hate them. They protected, fought and was brave right until the end. They were angeles fighting for everyone, and when they had fought enough, they went home. They went home as beautiful angels with incredibly strong and big wings. This video made me cry, right as it started. This is one of the reasons why I want to be a cop when I grow up. They set such a good example, even when people hate them and talk shit about them. This video also showed that cops, they fight together. They stand together, as one. Even some civilians were out there, saluting these Officers for serving and protecting them. The world might seem fucked up, and the humanity too - But this side of humanity? It's too good. It shouldn't be changed. Once again, god bless not only Sergeant Sam Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter but also every other cop, who has passed or is out there patrolling the streets, or dispatching. The same goes for firefighters and EMS. Thank you.

    when she said rest easy gentlemen we have got the watch from here slightly upset me no matter what country it is all police officers have one thing in common which is they risk their lives to protect their country every day that they put on their uniform and go to work what a lot of people cant see is that behind every uniform is a person who has a family of their own as well as friends and the only crime that these very brave people are committing is doing the job that they love may not only these two very brave people rest in perfect eternal peace but also may all the other officers all around the world who have lost their lives doing the job that they loved rest in perfect eternal peace as well xxxx
