Leslie runs multiple businesses including Midwifery Business Consultation and Empowering Midwifery Education. Wow this was SUPER interesting! I never knew the difference between being a nurse midwife at a hospital (and doing it their way) vs being a nurse midwife who does it as you called "low risk" - I think THAT'S the way to go (for women who are in low risk situations, of course). I don't like our current system of things, and I really hope that midwifery will grow and more women look into doing it this way, until it is widespread enough to sustain itself and be offered to anyone no matter how much money the patient makes!
