    Isn't there an open safety recall to repair this issue?

      You know you are right! looks like one in 2016 and 2018. I should check those more frequently.

    You can actually remove the seat cushion and access the pump as opposed to taking the whole seat out

    I don't know if you figured out but the black single wire coming from the bottom, in the OEM it's in the right side, in the new one it's at the left. I did the same thing you did but the mileage consumption did stop to work, did you have the same issue? Note : I didn't disconnect the battery, so I'm thinking that record a code in any module or because it's not OEM part that one I got. I'll appreciate you so much for a reply. Blessings buddy.

    What is the name of the puddy you used when you first tried to seal it and it didn't work ?

    • @FarReachFR
      @FarReachFR  4 роки тому +1

      The cream colored putty was "PL Premium" Construction Adhesive. I have found it come in handy in a variety of uses beyond its original intent. Good stuff. But in this particular instance, it was worth a try, and it helped, but didnt completely seal it. The cracks were forming near the edge. Maybe had it been more central it could have handled it.

      You can pick them up in several places, but I ordered min off Amazon. It was about $50. Here is a link to the one I used but there are other options. Also this is for the driver side. Keep in mind that passenger side is a different part. Good luck. www.amazon.com/dp/B07SKVHWLG/ref=psdc_15727161_t1_B06XK7WJLP

    Was the fuel pressure regulator inside the fuel pump or would it be on the passenger side?

    • @FarReachFR
      @FarReachFR  5 років тому +1

      From what I can tell terms wise, the "fuel pressure regulator" is inside the passenger tank. What I changed here is considered a drivers side tank "Fuel Filter". So if the regulator is what you are after, then I would think the passenger tank is where it is at. The passenger tank and housing comes apart in pretty much the same fashion as the driver side shown here. Just the internal equipment that is pulled out and replaced is slightly different.

    P0087 Fuel Rail pressure too low
    Can you help me bro what can i do?

    • @FarReachFR
      @FarReachFR  5 років тому +1

      If your fuel pressure is too low it generally only 1 of 2 things. 1. Either there is a leak. 2. The fuel pump/regulators are failing. Considering RobmccIII pointed out that there are a couple fuel system recalls on the Audi Q7 and Q5, you may in this case want to have the dealer check it out. Normally I avoid dealers because of the very high cost. BUT if it is related to one of the fuel system recall items, It could very well be they will fix it for you for free. (if it is the fuel pump failing because of cracking).

    do you think that the triple clamp 12mm bolt really needed to come out (one on front of rear driver seat)? Thanks for your reply in advance

    • @FarReachFR
      @FarReachFR  3 роки тому +2

      If you are wanting to take the rear seat out, the answer is yes. I am not sure there is enough room to try and swap the fuel pump with the back seat in place. It would be really tight. It certainly is worth taking the whole seat out, and that does require both the Triple Square 10mm and 12mm bolts to come out.

    • @FarReachFR
      @FarReachFR  3 роки тому

      it would struggle to start. Many tries were needed just to have it sputter. In short, it just wouldn't start. Notable was if you did get it to start, you could keep it running, so long as you kept the RPM's up.
