This is my first time ever hearing this band and I have to say... Holy shit. Your blasts are sublime! I don't know exactly what grip you are using, it looks like french to me, but I could be wrong. Impeccable sir. And those double stroke rolls are out of sight. I'm definitely going to be checking out more of this. Cheers!
Hi! I’m flattered thank you so much 🙏❤️ I use a lot of different techniques on my blasts. In this song in particular my left hand is always french grip, while my right hand alternates from french, german, push pull and Moeller technique! Cheers!
@@DanielTorgalDrums I thought I recognized the french grip! But that is really interesting about your right hand. If you don't mind me asking, why do you cycle through different grips in your right hand? I've noticed a handful of other drummers who do something similar in that each hand is implementing a totally different technique. I haven't ever had the opportunity to ask about it until now 😅 It's just genuine curiosity, I mean no offense or anything like that.
@@coltonpugh9669 Mostly, it’s due to the right hand always being on such different positions, having different rebounding surfaces and also different patterns that are played. The snare is usually just comping without any accents and for that, the french grip might be the best choice for a lot of drummers since it provides consistent strokes and better endurance. Cheers!
@@DanielTorgalDrums That actually makes perfect sense. I never thought about that. With you being a right handed drummer, that hand is covering most of the cymbals, toms, and the snare at any given time. It's easier to keep one grip in your left hand since it is mainly focused on the snare, as opposed to your right hand. That is amazing. Thank you for filling me in about that. I wouldn't have ever come to that conclusion on my own.
Dudeeeeee you've been missing out on 10 years worth of disgusting.
