- In this episode of Shannons Club TV, Mark Oastler & John Wright look back on the six-cylinder Japanese coupé that blurred the line between sports car and grand tourer - The Toyota Supra.
I had a 89 3.0 5spd.....loved that car
3:34 "its brilliant V6 engine" sigh.
It’s not a v6, it’s an inline 6 cast iron
3:34 ...really? How did you guys mistake the 7M engine for a V6? *facepalm*
they didnt even talk about the second generation of the celica xx, the supra mk 2 l-type and p- type, different engines and different interior.
Stock NA 1J in my 84 model. Around 70 more horses over stock 5M makes it an even more fun car to drive. The 35 year old seats are still up there with the most comfortable seats ever made. Won't be selling mine any time soon.
Nice job guys... I enjoyed this episode, and I'm willing to forgive the V6 misstep. I was flattered to see you use a photo of my dark blue1984 USDM model here. Always appreciate favorable press about my beloved A60. Cheers from the USA!
Had a white Celica Supra for many years and ended up importing a twin cam engine from Japan.
Im so jealous. Beautiful car.
1992 1996? Ta' heck is going on here
Celica Supra MKII came in 1982
Interesting how different parts of the world got different engines. My car has the higher output DOHC 5MGE motor that they didn't get in Australia. Japan got the Turbo motor in the Celica XX
Why are they referencing horsepower as Kilowatts? It's not an electric motor.
Emerging classic? Great news, who wants to buy mine
If you serious in selling i can be interested. Where u located
Im in brisvagas contact me on 0403250125
Got pictures? Mileage? A link?
Any chance of you guys doing an episode on the Crown?
Pristine but automatic ☹️
What about the JZA80 supra? Arguably the best and most popular version of them all!
A80 is an import mate, this show focuses on AUDM vehicles.
too slow? ok what else do you expect for a 40 year old motor.. too much assist in power steering, V6?.. wtf are you guys talking about?
who knows man 🤣
Just a celica with a 6 cylinder engine and longer.
A61 anybody?
