160km OFFROAD on the white rim trail (EP 39 - World Tour Expedition)

- Last week we got our #landroverdefender Albatross out of the garage. Then in #jacksonhole #wyoming the snow had caught up on us. At this point we only had one objective: driving down south to escape the freezing weather. We made it to our destination : #utah under the sun. In this episode we go #offroading in the #moab area. Our goal? Complete the White Rim trail in Canyonlands National Park. Things do not go entirely go as planned at the beginning and our first day toward the trail is brutaly interupted. Despite that we cannot highlight enough the beauty of this road, probably one of the most scenic and immersive we have done on this journey (alongside the Dalton Highway in Alaska of course). For this adventure we are still with our friend from #newzealand Tom and his #landroverdefender Jerry. Overhanging cliffs, grandiose red canyons, slow pace, haircut in the wild, we show you our daily life in the heart of #Canyonlands.

We Americans take beautiful Utah for granted. We grew up with cowboy movies filmed there on Saturday morning TV.
I do remember the shoe sucking mud that is only rivaled by Texas red clay shoe sucking mud.

Yes we wished we had been able to film at the white rim itself with the drone but those are the rules of the game. We tried to make the most of the surrounding outside!
This part of the the USA is so absolutely beautiful that I don’t even miss other part of my country. The Red Rocks are where my heart lives!

A wise decision by Tom to stay un the ditch for that first muddy slippery night. And next day he finds himself a stylist in the middle of the most impressive scenery I have yet seen and ends it with an off road bike ride. What a man! Mathilda the photography was impressive, those golden hour shots and so much wilderness full of rock stacks, caves and echoes. I loved this episode. Oh and well done Nick for the excellent driving.
I loved this episode too. But what a start indeed! It s quite difficult to get the permits to get there if you don’t want to pay the reservation fees which are huge so we took the only option we found but what an adventure 😍

White rim is incredible. I did it in my 33 year old Landcruiser last year, what an experience. Should be on everyones bucket list. Utah is incredible.

Yikes, some of those drop-offs along the side of that muddy road look terrifying! I might have been reconsidering my life choices at that point. But you made it through and got to see some amazing remote locations. Congratulations.
We were not super comfortable at that point indeed… hahaha hence our choice to stop and try again after. But the rest was 1000 times worthy

You are way more interesting than any news or sitcom or documentary! I just knew my Honey would really like your content and style. He made many compliments and he doesn't get impressed easily! Such beautiful country. I feel blessed to live close enough to it that I visit much of the country every year, mostly going off road to do rock hounding. The whole southern half of Utah is just so beautiful, from high mountains to pure desert and unrivaled scenery. I wish I would have had time to join you while you were here, but I'm sure you'll be back. :)
