At the first listen I thought No. 2, you can feel the family connection then I put the headphones on and finally the sound of version 1 is my favorite. The instruments are more balanced in volume. But it must come from the room and the microphones because the 2 interpretations are magnificent.
The first recording is really good but the second is just divine. I like the very tasteful use of vibrato (not too much). And in particular the connection between vl and vc. 😊
Saludos
I don't have a musicians' ear just yet, but I think the quality of the recording were different. So it's hard to truly judge which one is better. That being said - and I have to relisten more carefully without the distraction of my kiddos nearby - but I felt that the first recording was softer, yet almost... I dunno, clinical? It was precise, yet, too precise? I can't quite put my finger on it. The 2nd recording was warmer, I felt a connection between the violin and the cello. Almost like they were talking to each other, lovingly. So, my preference would be the 2nd recording. :)
I peferred the second. The sound quality was more focused and nuanced, and there was a real sense that this was about the violin and the cello together. That said, the piano was isolated in the background. Are they just setting the environment, or should they be a part of this ménage a trois?
fairly difficult choice to say which I enjoy more. i really enjoy the minimal vibrato in no. 2. and if that little nuance was employed in the first one, it would be absolutely perfect.
Which version got closer to you? Comment below why!
Version two had a much more nuanced use of vibrato and dynamics. Very interesting comparison.

2nd one. Sounds more relaxed confident and somehow more connected

I love all of them! 🤩❤
I loved the second version. It had more feeling to me. 🎻

I prefer the 2nd ... it is one of my favourite pieces... I felt it had more depth, more passion, and more clarity. 🎉

Recording 1
Nice! But why? :)
Acho que a questão de sangue deixou tudo mais ligado, portanto o 2# ficou mais interessante.
Version one was not as nuanced as the second version which I think used vibrato and dynamics more strategically to bring out certain passages.
