- My new wheelchair came!!!
Coming to terms with needing mobility aids is something that’s quite challenging. I have been using a walking stick for quite a while now as and when needed, however a wheelchair is something that will help me massively on days where my walking stick wouldn’t.

About Me:
Hi! My name is Abigail, I am 17 and living with ME/CFS (amongst other co-morbid and mental health conditions). I was diagnosed with ME in the end of 2019 and still now I struggle with it everyday.
ME/CFS is a chronic (long-term) neurological condition, it affects everyone in different ways but I hope by making this channel I can help those of you who are diagnosed, currently fighting for a diagnosis, or just wanting to learn more about the condition.

I’m an incomplete paraplegic, so I got a custom wheelchair it took months for it to be built. But when we went to the hospitals wheelchair clinic I was so excited! It was so much easier than the hospital wheelchair I got lol 😂
Hospital wheelchairs have a mind of their own and are not comfy at all haha! I understand your excitement though! I really hope your current chair works well for you 🤍
I have ME/CFS as well. I'm working on getting my chair too and im so excited

@@abigailrobinson03 Thank you for asking. Im okay. I've been pushing myself through PEM and that's been kicking my rear but gotta pay for the chair somehow. I hope you're doing well and enjoying your chair
@@monetmccain5301 Thank you! and yeah PEM is a real struggle, I’m feeling it myself this weekend after having such a busy week. Well done for keep trying to push through it but remember it’s okay to stop and ask for help; as we don’t want to make ourselves sicker from it all.
I'm gonna contact my doctor about a wheelchair. I am sooo frustrated being bedridden most days.

The footplate will be adjustable so you can make them even x
Yeah i’m not sure what it is, it’s like one sticks forward more than the other? I do need to adjust them but don’t wanna mess it up! xx
this was the 1st chair i got about 2 years it was a god send unfortunately my eds and pots have got worse and this chair is a bit too bulky for ne now so ive been fitted for a custom chair i really hope its working out for you
Thank you, I really hope your new chair is working for you too! Yes this one is a bit painful on my shoulders when pushing myself etc, and the seat won’t click down properly 😩 but it’s perfect for what I need at the moment!
I have spina bifida so I’m in a wheelchair 🦽 too! You seem like an amazing girl ❤❤❤❤

That’s okay! This one is from CareCo and cost £249.99, it was about £50 cheaper when we first looked then went up to that when we went to buy it ahhh xx
Pretty much any rucksack will go on the back xxxxx
I can’t lie i’m quite scared of tipping backwards when having any bag on the back haha! xx
