120th Anniversary of heroic ICRC delegate remembered

In commemoration of the 120th Anniversary of the birth of Friedrich Born who served as ICRC’s Chief Delegate to Hungary in 1944 saving lives during the Holocaust, the team of the ICRC Regional Delegation in Budapest participated in the March of the Living, an annual commemoration and walk marking the Day of the Hungarian Victims of the Holocaust on Sunday 16 April.
The ICRC team’s participation in this year’s March of the Living in Budapest also coincided with the 160th Anniversary of the creation of our organization. We marked the event by issuing a press release and preparing a banner with an image of Friedrich Born and the ICRC logo.
