Why aren't you honest on your review? I have a Realme 5 pro here, it took time to take a shot, much longer and if you move the photos blurred its hard to stay focus on this phone. My older phone a Redmi Note 5 pro take much better photos than my Realme 5 pro, I honestly says this so that people will know, if you have a shaky hands on a Realme 5 pro your photos are garbage. Please don't be bias, we know your sponsor is Realme.. Xiaomi don't usually pays on advertisement.

idk what xiaomi is doing with their redmi phones regarding the camera department. Seems like they can't evolve past redmi note 5 level of quality, which is honestly pretty sad
@@Techtablets yeah, audio is a big crapshoot, but the image quality and most importantly video quality just does not seem to get better, no matter how many new phones they put out or new sensors they use. The note 5 shot good videos. Not exceptional or anything, but it was consistently good. The redmi note 7's focus keeps jumping up and down while recording like it's a techno party. Unacceptable.
If you own a Xiaomi and Realme you can tell the difference Xiaomi Captured better photos than Realme, Realme mic has alot of noise distortion specially when your recording on public places, I had a Realme 5 pro here, and the camera focus is very bad, I tell you honestly, if you had shaky hands on this phone your photos will be blownout like garbage. Its been 3 weeks since I'm using realme 5 and I'm still waiting for realme to fix it, if it is a software problem, if this was Xiaomi they will fix this problem within a week. Realme pays for advertisements.. but Xiaomi don't..
@@hudortunnel9784 that's why there's clear softcase inside the box. Many people won't take risk that using their mobile without putting protective case on it especially premium segment (flagship).
@@agoesox2353 i partly agree with you, but there are times you'd want to take it off like during immersive gaming to allow the heat to better dissipate. Also, this one is not a flagship but a midranger phone with its specs and price.

Realme 5 Pro has high quality sound processing, you can hear that crowd ambient noise is filtered properly. It's 2020 and this audio technology present for 25 years on desktop PC, should be in all devices that are used as phones.
Wow the Realme audio is good! I'm listening via earphones so it's very clean & good voice depth... vloggers can consider this but lack 4K wide is a mistake!
Realme 5 Pro, if you just want to get a great picture with a little bit over-saturated. But hey, at least it looks good on social media, and you don't have to edit it too much to look better. Redmi Note 8 Pro, if you want to have a great picture with more 'true-to-life' color. And for those who edit the picture for they own style/taste.

if you are a straight vlogger(travel vlogs etc) better mic is important since both of them can capture good quality videos in 1080p using eis so overall i think realme is the winner.
For me audio on the Xiaomi is a lot better. Seems like they used noise reduction on the Realme making background noises to sound like they are underwater. Just listen with your headphones on and you will seriously notice it. On the Xiaomi though there seems to be a high pass filter filtering 'bass' out but the noise reduction of the Realme bothers me more.
The Xiaomi siss and hiss bother me more. Louder doesn't = better. But hey we are all different, different ears and preferences. Thank you so much for watching!
@@Techtablets It's not about louder, it's about sounding like the sound is at that moment like your ears would hear it and the Xiaomi is a lot better at that. At 1:23 you can hear exactly what I mean that it sounds unnatural.
For me noise cancellation should only be used on calls and not in videos. Sometimes you want the noise of the sea etc Xiaomi tries to block it. But each to there own. Down to personal preference.

Worst review ever, this leaves me so confused. First, the audio on the Xiaomi is MUCH better, 2nd Xiaomi takes wide angle videos too. And the realme photos are just too soft. (Not a paid comment, not, a troll, just very weirded out by this review)

Hi mate, try turning off the AI Scene detection and Chroma boost from the Realme 5 Pro and test it again, to see if the colors are more accurate after. ;D
The difference is very far because both use different processors. I recommend Realme 5 Pro rather than Redmi Note 8 Pro, because the quality of the Qualcomm processor is better. I prefer videos recorded by Realme 5 Pro. I'm actually a fan of Xiaomi. But I don't just focus on Xiaomi. Maybe in the next few months I will buy Realme 5 Pro.

Yes they do need to watch out. I've got the X2 and it's another great phone that's aiming for Xiaomi. I edited the title as it was triggering all the Xiaomi fanboy's and people saying it clickbait etc...
True to life color camera was not for everyone. I already taking votes with around 200 peoples, and around 130 of them want the picture looks like it's already edited better than natural color picture. I even love saturated color because it's look better. Another example : People like Amoled screen better than LCD because Amoled was punchy in color and brightness, and LCD color gamut was too "lifeless" because it's showing natural color and picture.

Redmi note 8 pro video performance is as terrible as low light. Over sensitivity on exposure changes. Realme photos color are unrealistic and selfie camera is softening skin tone even when the beauty mode is off. I think realme X2 camera won't get much better than this.
@@Techtablets This is the reason why I am NOT willing to pay more than 200 euros for any single Xiaomi device be it a new or a used one. Until half a year ago, it was only a marginal difference between their so called "flagships" and midrange devices.
Id ont know why but The ultrawide video stabilization of my redmi note 8 pro rocks Like srsly it rocks Even when i run, it looks like im using a gimbal, completely blows away my friend's 11 pro max when we ran at the same time. Only thing that i dont understand is that, as the video stabilization of my ultrawide camera is simply phenomenal, the stabilization on my main sensor, doesn't even work and i think this is a problem that xiaomi should fix.

I feel there is a lag when recording video at 1080 resolution at 60fps, is it a bug or software that is not good? I feel Realme 3 pro is better than Realme 5 pro in video recording at 60fps

Yes they do need to watch out. I've got the X2 and it's another great phone that's aiming for Xiaomi. I edited the title as it was triggering all the Xiaomi fanboy's and people saying it clickbait etc...

True to life color camera was not for everyone. I already taking votes with around 200 peoples, and around 130 of them want the picture looks like it's already edited better than natural color picture. I even love saturated color because it's look better.
Another example : People like Amoled screen better than LCD because Amoled was punchy in color and brightness, and LCD color gamut was too "lifeless" because it's showing natural color and picture.
Does Realme 5 Pro and Realme Q are the same phone?

Redmi note 8 pro video performance is as terrible as low light. Over sensitivity on exposure changes.
Realme photos color are unrealistic and selfie camera is softening skin tone even when the beauty mode is off.
I think realme X2 camera won't get much better than this.

@@Techtablets This is the reason why I am NOT willing to pay more than 200 euros for any single Xiaomi device be it a new or a used one. Until half a year ago, it was only a marginal difference between their so called "flagships" and midrange devices.

Like srsly it rocks
Even when i run, it looks like im using a gimbal, completely blows away my friend's 11 pro max when we ran at the same time.
Only thing that i dont understand is that, as the video stabilization of my ultrawide camera is simply phenomenal, the stabilization on my main sensor, doesn't even work and i think this is a problem that xiaomi should fix.
