Its nice to see someone who looks at the social and emotional aspect of retirement and not just the economics. As for my self since my retirment is funded by an inheritance as my parents died just as they where starting the retirment process my social security will be about one tenth of my income I'm not overly concerned about it. I'm in my early 50s and have semi retired working a part time job. As i work a part time job i will either need to quit it or wait to im 67 to collect SS. My biggest issue is the social aspect. Being autistic people are not exactly comfortable being around me and i have never had many friends at the best i could count all my friends on one hand if not on a finger or two. As i have so little interactions with others i get into slumps where im spending days just watching YT and TV and believe me it gets old. I work the job just for the excuse to get out of the house.
Excellent video and I appreciate the advice. 2025 is my year and I am both excited and nervous! Next step is to tell my employer. Any thoughts on going part time? I don’t really need the money but it would be good financially and ease the transition. Thanks!

I’m sorry to hear this. Glad you are working and thanks for watching.
Good idea to have a part time job plus you could do charity work to be with people and give yourself a buzz for what you are doing.
Excellent advice and comments!
Thank you!

Great news and thanks for watching!
I'm thinking the same thing. Part time to keep me feeling safe about finances and see how I do with having more time to myself.
Hi Daryl, great video as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always wanted to live in San Francisco. What a luck it did not happen! Don't even want to visit anymore.
Been there many times. I think it’s beautiful but i don’t need to go back. Thanks for watching
Poeple keep saying to spend while you're healthy but on the other hand you often need lots of money for health related expenses.
there's insurance for that.
