Them putting those minifigs in more sets is a good thing. Forcing people to spend 400 dollars to get the ONLY Captain Rex is ridiculous. It's good that they put it in a microfighter.
I'm actually happy they are making less minifigs exclusive. The resale value has gotten out of control.

I dont get why you're making a problem about the figure. If you buy a big LEGO C-3PO set it's fair to expect the best 3po minifigure that's available

No point in putting hinges in the elbows when in the movies he never moved his elbows only his shoulders.
Makes it easier to put his arms in the correct position and is overall more structurally sound.

Super excited for this set! It looks great. It would have been cool to see a brick built mouth and some loose wires instead of stickers, but I think aesthetically this is probably best. Love that it’s clearly Lego, but a great display too. I’m also glad I have an excuse to get the R2!
Looking forward to seeing C-3PO on the shelves next to R2-D2 and Chewbacca to see how they all look together.
Why so annoyed about the minifigure? Maybe some child whose family can’t afford to look at Lego as an investment opportunity still deserves a cool minifigure !
I don't think he wants a lame minifig in this set. But it could be different than the UCS version

I feel like LEGO could have done gold circular grill pieces for the eyes instead of the circle dishes.

Just some feedback about your home review space - but the audio when you’re recording in the cubby is very poor and unusual for your videos. Not the end of the world obviously, but it was noticeable. Great review, regardless of that audio.
All 3 of these new Star Wars releasing soon sets look great!

The build looks really good! It’s gonna pair so well with the smaller R2-D2 we got earlier this year. And I love that they included the same C-3PO minifigure from the UCS Luke’s Landspeeder.

Looks really really good. I'm very curious to see what him and r2d2 look like with the ucs sand speeder might be a cool display. Also would love to see him with the other buildable figs. Live the imitation you did too bricksie.

It’s ABSOLUTELY not acceptable that LEGO continues to drop the ball in quality control when supplying pieces. I put together two 200+ dollar sets in the last six months and both of them had multiple missing pieces right from the box. Get it together LEGO!
Now I need this to display next to my R2D2 on a Tatooine diorama! There goes my money...

If you put the new C-3PO next to that other buildable R2D2 from 2021 (Instead of the 25th anniversary edition), the scale would look weird.
I'm not a fun of Star Wars, but even for me it looks as an interesting lego set. I always admired a capability to build human-like or animal like sets from lego.
It should have more articulation to match R2-D2 but most importantly, it needs gold pieces
I really am impressed with this set although a bit pricey , are the gold bricks more expensive . Considering the limitation of Lego , they dont have pieces for every situation to make it look like the actual character but they do an amazing job with what they have , but this set does look good especially beside R2D2 .
I don't understand why they did not use the metallic gold for the pieces. They did mix in some pieces in that color. Curious what made them decide to mix the 2 colors.

Plus cost of the shiny drum lacquered gold - if you think it's expensive now - it would be a lot more if it was all gold

I'm freaked out by the eyes. That is not how the character eyes look in the movies. His eyes should be within his head, not protruding. Lego needed to approach this like the 3 in 1 Tiger set where the eyes are within the socket. That could have been a lot better. Otherwise its a great set.
Yep, as soon as someone is able to make it look better with a customisation, I’ll buy this set. I think it’s prefect, but the eyes look so off.

$140 for this set is OBSCENE! Wow, Lego is still pushing the price limits. People will pay it though, so I can't say the are not justified. My Barad-dûr set was also missing a couple of pieces. That almost never happens, yet this is the second time it has this year for me. And it was wedge plates as well! I think Lego is starting to coast and not paying as much attention to detail, which is a shame...
It should be gold plated. If Bandai can do it, then lego should do it too.

The little wedge pieces in gold look wrong as the rest is in pearl gold
Is the mouth a sticker as well? hate stickers, they always peel after a while...
Mouth is a print.
All of the gold pieces with decoration are printed, all of the black pieces (except the plaque) are stickered.

Nice build, but at this point Lego is asking too much for the price.
I agree that LEGO prices are increasing, but this one feels like one of the least offensive prices for 2024

Hey Jordan, we don’t all get free UCS sets from Lego. The fact that Captain Rex is now in a super affordable set, should be celebrated because more people have access to it. Sorry we’re not like you and get free Lego sets.
Lol, my same thoughts. I mentioned this before and he said he has to do a lot of work to be part of the system that allows him to get free sets and so on. I get it, that's your choice. Just keep in mind 99% of people actually have to go buy these $400+ sets with real money. So yeah, it's nice to see these figs in sets people can actually afford and not feel left out.
He is a choice not to be in LAN, but obviously it is worth it as he was suspended and he worked to get back in. He is earning money from doing videos for mostly getting free Lego sets…. He is working hard because he has a high overhead now with the Lego studio.

that’s exactly what he’s talking about, there is an option to order missing pieces for free via bricks and pieces on the lego website.
