    I currently find myself at top gold. Before I hit my first ball I watched this video and I currently find myself to be top of the leader board. I have zero golf experience but now I feel like I can golf anything. This video was incredibly helpful and I have nothing but gratitude for this channel. Keep doing what you're doing. It's truly something special. Again, thank you so much. I couldn't have done it without you.

      Same. I played for many years with no lessons and couldn’t put it all together. At first I could crush a drive straight and far, nearly every time, but was so horrible with my irons. Then as my iron game improved my driving fell off. I stopped playing for a few years and I’m back to square 1, but this video really helps.

    Hey guys, I watched this video before i started playing golf again after 10 years. I have applied what you explain in this vid and it definitely worked. I was shocked by the way i made contact, considering that i have not played in 10 years.I shared the tip with one of the other golfers at the driving range as he was struggling, and it immediately helped him as well. He spontaneously mentioned that his contact is much better. Great tip, keep it up!!!

      Perhaps you understand why 'opening and closing' the club face is required in the golf swing. Why can't the swing at 3:38-3:29 work the same way? I'm just a beginner at Golf.

    • @79basicinstinct
      @79basicinstinct 8 років тому

      Hi L Duranceau. Could you elaborate? Not sure if I'm interpreting your question correctly here. Note that the 'opening' and 'closing' of the club face happens through body rotation and not through a movement of the hand (wrist). Let me know if that answers your question. If not, please clarify and I'll happy to provide insight if I can.

    • @lduranceau8046
      @lduranceau8046 8 років тому

      My swing looks more like 1:56 - 1:59. The club goes back in a straight line and through the ball in a straight line. Why won't this work? You both say it won't work, but why not? At 1:56 - 1:59, the hands don't open and close.

    I am just learning and after 1 trip to the driving range I was frustrated and made the exact mistake described here. I tried to keep the club straight in the plane to hit it straight. I was all over the place. I tried this concept or should I say ESSENTIAL fundamental with wiffle golf balls, then real ones and like the example just piddly 20 -30 yards slowly increasing the power checking my form making sure when I applied more power I keep the open and close face properly across the plane. Greatful I saw this video after only 1 trip to range before I developed bad habbits. My results appying these tips was NIGHT/DAY! Not only did I hit the ball much straighter - when I applied power in proper form I had great results and am getting 180-200 yards of solid straight shots. I still can develope more power but taking my time. THANKS GUYS! Cheers

    Four men went golfing together one day; three headed to the first tee and one went into the club house to take care of the bill.
    The three men started talking, bragging about their sons. The first man told the others, "My son is a home builder and he's so successful that he gave a friend a new home - for free."
    The second man said, "My son was a car salesman and now he owns a multi-line dealership. He's so successful that he gave a friend two Cadillacs."
    The third man, not wanting to be outdone bragged, "My son is a stock broker and he's doing so well that he gave his friend an entire stock portfolio."
    The fourth man joined them on the tee after a few minutes of taking care of business. The first man mentioned, "We were just talking about our sons. How is yours doing?" The fourth man replied, "Well, my son is gay. I'm not totally thrilled about it, but he must be good. His last three boyfriends gave him a house, two cars, and a stock portfolio."

I will be having lessons after I join the local club but want to get a little ahead of those so I don’t waste time learning the parts and type of irons etc. Thanks for this course, its nice to find a channel with English guys , much appreciated.

    Hey guys, I had to take an opportunity to say thank you. I've been playing since I was really little but now that I am older I really started to focus on golf. I was having so much trouble with my irons hitting short fat and sliced all at the same time. After religiously studying your tips for weeks , today I hit every iron shot pure and hit my irons 20 yards longer or more(for example old 5 iron 180, today 210 consistently) and with a draw! The improvement has been breathtaking. Thanks so much from New York

    really great instruction guys! so many people think of the golf swing as a simple one dimensional motion that starts and stops in the arms. but the golf swing is a very involved motion that utilizes the entire body by building up and releasing tension much like a spring. learning that can be very confusing and hard to conceptualize, but you guys really laid out the fundamentals in an easy to understand way.

    Been watching u guys since beginning and have never asked a question. Until now... during a round of golf and after the round I am able to take good full swings. Before the round(on the range) I can never get my body loosened up as much as I need to. It takes me a few holes to get into a good loose swing. By then I am a few over and that's usually what I finish at us a few over. I I could find a way to get my body going pre round that would help me a lot. Especially in the morning rounds.
