Great work. One modification that would be good to see is if you could somehow make it so that the grate was replaceable,

Good idea, but i think I will build some other variation of the rocketstove before the grate is demolished by the heat from the 🔥

If you wanted to combat the "difficult to move" problem, I think you could shorten the back 2 legs enough to add straight rolling locking caster wheels and give it a handle, so you can roll it around like a wheelbarrow.

Thanks for the information. I will be building some smaller and more portable designs for camping in the future.

How about putting the caster on the front leg instead so you can move it even while it's on, that way the fire is pointing away from you instead of directly at your face?
Edit: oh nevermind you just need to put the handles on the ash tray side regardless of where you put the casters

Looks great, enjoying the fact that you painted it all nice, but i'm wondering if you are getting enough air in the Rocket stove? Typically people who show them off, when opening the hopper aren't meet with so much smoke? Was your bottom air intake not facing the direction of the wind? And could you let us hear it roar when it sucks in air at the bottom? Could you show off the dust in dustpan after it's cooled to see how well it burned? Any way you could show off how hot it got? would you consider adding controable secondary air intake?

I will show more of the rocketstove soon. The reason for the smoke is that i put too much fuel in the chamber. In the video, there was almost zero wind, but later in the night, I faced the intake to the wind and in gloved red hot from the burn chamber. I guess it was about 650 to 700 degrees Celsius. And for more air flow, I considered adding forced induction, like a fan/blower.

The only thing that i dont like is the legs its too narrow. It doesnt look stable at that height. if you hammer those legs to the ground around 6 inches it will be very stable. You might need a better leg design for future projects.

Yeah I see it can easily fall. A should make an attachment where I can add a larger footprint.
