I suggest her to read chandi path (sloka no. 10 in the 12th chapter of Durga Shaptasati). Also, there is a complete explanation of the meaning of the word Bali and the type of animal that can be offered (including humans but with king's permission only) and also the process of giving Bali to the goddess in the 67th chapter of Kalika Purana. But what we have to remember is Bali is optional in most cases but mandatory in certain rituals. Just a shallow understanding of dharma and self-declaration of saturation of wisdom inside your brain does not make you wise. We mortal humans believe in what we see but we are completely ignorant by ignoring the fact that there is another dimension or realm where these energies exist and among these energies, the one many of us would like to call mata (mother) is actually the energy that has potential to destroy everything. After a lot of failed attempts, Lord Bramha came up with a creation in which we exist. The idea of a food chain was also designed by Lord Brahma. Food is our fuel and the creation (we and our devotion and offerings) is the fuel to these energies. Nobody punishes a lion if he kills a deer and nobody punishes a deer if he kills plants. But our dharma says we humans are only allowed to kill for a divine purpose after following balibidhan . Talking about the Gadimai Festival, not every slaughtering but a few of them definitely look like himsha because buffaloes are mercilessly slaughtered with multiple blows which violates the rule of balibidhan. Tantra related sastras narrated by lord shiva are mostly procedural rather than metaphorical. Enter into tantra. Make a guru your primary priority. Enter the area of expertise and do not speak with emotion. Feelings, attachments and maya won't get you anywhere but keep you hooked forever. Death is not the end. Any being's death does not mean their end. Death is simply moving forward. Fear not death. everything is destined.
