This area is right up there for me also, probably my second favourite after Saraphi. 89 Plaza is a top area to be.
love the long line of huge trees along that road! chanced upon them when i cycled to wat ku khao to take a look, the trees ended up being the most memorable part of the day :)

When construction starts it's gonna suck.
Would definitely go for the two bedroom. And have the small bedroom and bathroom removed.
And have a nice and big living room instead.
That's right Jay, the second construction part will start soon, that could be a bit of a nightmare. Will be good to see when it's all finished though.

That's right, i would say nearly all these will be available for rent soon.
I go to CM often so I keep playing with the idea of just signing a lease annually for a one bedroom place rather than stay in a hotel or do an AirB&B each time, but I struggle on the best part of town for me. Nimman is nice for trendy restaurants but too many people and tourists for me. What makes you like that area. I know you mentioned being close to 89 Plaza, but almost everywhere is close to eating places, so what makes it so attractive to you? Too bad you didn't have a younger woman showing you around the condo, as I think part of your motivation for these condo tours is the cute women you meet, 555.
Nong Hoi is my favorite because it's untouched. It's still got the old Thailand feel to it. New condos are ony now being built in that area. It's mainly old thai houses for rent. 89 plaza wouldn't have any impact on my decision. That's just how i like it, but Nong Hoi isn't for everyone.

This place has a nice feel to it. I like the finish, the green kitchen is pretty cool. Awesome pool. Maybe I should spend my house deposit money and buy one of these! Only downside to me would be not having a wardrobe in the single bedroom place or not having a balcony. Great spot Wayne! Hope you’re well 🙂

Thanks for the video. My only gripe about living in the condo in Thailand is that they don't allow pets. My dog is my son and I need to find a place that would allow me to keep him. I need to find a house rental in CM and would be good if Wayne could do some house rental vlogs.

I agree Wayne, Nong Hoi is a terrific area to live. But not much available really.
My best area and where I'll move to next. Your right though mate, Nong Hoi is behind some other areas, mainly old houses and rooms for rent. New stuff is going up though, like Su Condo. That's why i like Nong Hoi, it's still got that Thai feel to it. Cheers mate.

No hand rails for getting in and out of the pool again LOL. Dang. I'm looking for the elusive condo pool with handrails for old people at the pool stairs. Otherwise, I could get in, but I may never get back out 🙂 If they added a handrail to the pool, I could see myself buying one and being happy there forever, though. Might want a condo that is on a side or the back, so as not to be looking into other people's windows.
Will be noisy for awhile, though, once they start building the other buildings. But, I could see it being pretty quiet once it's all done. I saw a comment somewhere else that the night market is really loud on Saturday nights with music played through speakers (the hotel you walked by had a comment about that on another site). But, once a week noise is no big deal for me. Thanks for these videos. They're super helpful.
Yes, the plaza over the road will have some night markets and noise some nights, but nothing major. I hope you find a pool with rails, I'll keep looking. Thanks Karen 🙏

I've also heard conflicting info on if the new owners have to pay higher maint fees and higher utility costs until the place gets filled up -- that the owners split costs even if there are only a few of them. If you could also clarify that, that would be really good info to know, too. Thanks, as always.

lovely area Wayne . Not surprised it's your favourite location . I liked the 1BR at 35sqm . Very nice spec .The 2BR seemed to have same floor area size but with additional BR .
I liked the low rise as for some weird reason in 6+ floors i stand on balcony & say to myself " I'm sure i can fly " . I rarely drink but perverse thoughts + alcohol worry me .😂 Great low rise condo find

I had not thought about it. But, as you say, that gym room is very exposed, and centered in the middle with rooms all around and above. Getting on a treadmill there might make one feel like a hamster on a treadmill in a squirrel cage, with all tenants watching you as they have their breakfast. Some guys love to show off their gifts in the gym, so this would be perfect for them. It might be better to locate gyms on the roof, where you can get a beautiful view of the mountains and scenery, while exercising. Just a thought.

You would need to get wifi if you purchased the condo. If you rented, I'm sure wifi would be included.

Su condo is nice. Could live there. Especially 2 bedroom with the unusual wardrobe area that’s cool. Property appears setback from the road so would likely be separated from traffic noise.

I agree Dennis, i could live here also. It's in a nice location, Nong Hoi is still sleepy and quiet off the main road. Nobody knows rental prices yet. When i see any units for rent, maybe I'll do a quick short video with the info. Thanks Dennis.

Can you do a mortgage on a condo, same as you would do in UK. Or can you only purchase one outright?

Encouraging to see new places being built. I won't be buying, of course, and I have a few years yet before I move back to Thailand. This means the places that are slightly older will remain affordable...which is fine. No worries!

You don't need to me married to a Thai. As Avro mentioned, you can own a Condo.

People need to purchase them before any are for rent.
Absolutely lovely but way too small for me. If ya ain’t got room to swing a cat I ain’t with it. I’d rather a place that’s 10-15 years old and double the size. I love their style though, it’s basically perfect other than the size as I said

Saw a vid a while back and they right out said that Farang units were more expensive so good luck recovering your money with Thais not being interested in your unit at anywhere near what you paid for it. RENT, RENT, RENT.

The Chinese would not stay here! "SU" means "to lose" in Chinese. And you shouldn't ask whether "it's finished". "Is it completed or near completion?" would be better. To cite an analogy - Marry the right woman your life is complete, marry the wrong one you are finished! 😂
