I was just today describing a section of this stone i have, as having colors of the rainbow scattered gems. Exciting finding your video. This stone has every single type of Lunar, Martian (dark blue in tan patch is amazing). As well as the Metallic Metal mix in the center. Other end tho, with 6 sided yellow translucent gems under the pearl looking button

I found a meteorite which is of metallic mostly and contains grey colored fusion crust and it gives differenr colors like rainbow when scatched on a surface. Sure, this rock will revolutionize the meteorite world... This must have come from core of some planet.
@@TopherspinMeteorites I have sent the rock sample to a lab in U. S. I am expecting the desired result soon. Thank you for your response. NWA 2502 CV3 * If anyone has a piece of this in their collection look for BLUE in it. I have a polished slice with a reasonably sized portion within that has a distinct light and dark blue section. Anyone else seen this?
Awesome 101! I knew when this was recorded that I wanted to come back to the 101 at least once more, if not several times! And, such a cool mix of meteorites!
Bought my first meteorite. It's from Kabil, Egypt crater. A fragment. It appears to have the fusion crust, but since it's a fragment, I'd like to know exactly what it is. I'm thinking when it hit, the surface of the fragments were molten, then quickly cooled to fuse with oxygen, the same process producing the fusion crust as it would passing thru the atmosphere. Not an expert here.
What did your meteorite dealer say? I assume you asked the person who you actually purchased the meteorite from has stepped up to help you with your question.
One of the best episodes! My favourite topic actually, colors, optical effects in gemstones, olivines and diopsides in meteorites! I have found in some mesos and hed weathered meteorites white/red or orange/pink thru cleavage fracture in anorthite plagioclase! Also olivines have strong pleochroism. Interesting thing is manganese not only make spessartine garnet nice orange, but also make it highest magnetic then other garnets. Even andradite and almandine garnets from Fe are not so strong magnetic! Thanks a lot!
Thank you for sharing this educational video. This is very helpfull information. I have had to screen shot some photos. Keep the hard work up, you guys I really enjoy watching 👀
This is our fuel!!! Screenshots are always allowed! Working on a quick but educated look at some carbonaceous by a long time watched and 1st time participant.
My metrite #1 is fist sized ..very distinct cone ..with all the other colors with a very dark dark purple gem that runs to a dark red with shatters of olivean yellow orange green white around outside wrap ..at tail it appears to be molten metal mixed with the gem purple n pink looks like peral also appears to actually have a few trapped air pockets also has very small metal spheres of material metal detector hit on iron but doesn't have much for a magnetic draw ...any wanna help
I don't offer free services to help ID stones. I am not a trained Geologist. Do you believe that you really have a meteorite? Submit pictures to: facebook.com/groups/isitameteorite or facebook.com/groups/meteorite.or.meteorwrong. The power of the Facebook Groups I recommend is that there are a bunch of knowledgeable geologists and meteorite people in there.

Dead wrong. 90%+ of all meteorites are in the "Stoney" group for an obvious reason. Google the meaning of the word "meteorite". I don't think you understand what you are talking about and you need to stop trying to spread your 'information' here.
