- Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is expected to visit Manipur on July 8. During his visit, he will tour relief camps and meet with Manipur Congress leaders. This visit follows his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which began in Manipur's Thoubal earlier this year. The visit comes amid ongoing ethnic clashes between the Kuki and Meitei communities, which have claimed over 220 lives since May 2023. Rahul Gandhi's visit aims to address these issues and engage with affected communities.
