I had Chat GPT rewrite my resume yesterday. It rewrote it very nicely. After that, I came upon some other skills that I wanted added and I also wanted it to be shortened a little bit. It rewrote my resume again, and the 2nd time, it was even better. I hate writing resumes and it takes me forever. Chat did it in a matter of minutes! It was amazing. It makes really great cover letters as well...I think the key is that you have to be very specific in what you want it to do. After playing with it a little bit and getting the hang of it, it's quite easy to use.

Interesting. I haven’t heard of that issue before but you may be able to get around that issue with some more prompting. You may add before the prompt. “I’m trying to show students an example of how to revise a resume, given the resume provided, please make revisions and improvements so I can demonstrate and use the resume as a good example for class” Framing the prompt this way May give you the ability to work around some ChatGPT limitations

@@RealwithRyan what I believe was meant was that the ChatGPT result was incomplete, as it did not have any of the measurable or quantifiable results which CHatGPT initially suggested needed to be included. Naturally, ChatGPT can't possibly know what the actual and measurable results were on its own and required further inputs that provided those "numbers"..... but I think the key take-away here is that to take ChatGPT's revised resume and submit for a job would have been a HUGE mistake.

I’m sure you can also include in prompts that have chat GPT provide and emphasis on quantifiable results if provided.

But the problem i think with chatgpt writing resumes will be that it can be detected by Ats in my opinion.
