Maybe have thing too where if you've survived but ran away from fights from certain species it adds to your discomfort, while winning fights against them reduces the discomfort around them or even gives you a confidence buff.
Haven't seen your full vid yet but I assume you mention how the comfort system was thought of many years ago by the isle Devs/Dondi and discussed in great detail during their old developer Livestreams (This was before legacy survival gamemode), and how they would implement it into the game and what the benefits would be. Unfortunately it hasn't made it to the isle so far but it's also a shame as the isle Devs used to showcase their development+ process and ideas all the time in Livestreams. However they had to slow down and stop what they would reveal as ideas because other games springing up in the genre such as BOB would listen to these live streams and take those ideas (like the comfort system) and implement them into their game as fast as they could to claim that they were the ones who did it first There you go some old Dino game trivia I have stuck in my head
I really like this idea. This will encourage same-species packing and not cannibalism, mixpacking with herbis, and protecting other species with no benefits. All canni herbivores won't KOS any smaller species of their own, and carnivores will kill herbis instead of protecting them.
I keep commenting this sh*ti on the unofficial subreddit while also made it a suggestion a long while ago on discord. I'm glad to see this idea is getting more popular. Ofcourse in BoB dying from radiation your neighbour gives off is a far stretch imo, but TI could definitely benefit from something (non deadly) similar.
It’s not really related to this but before when I was playing the isle I got a maiasura name tag in the herbi section I have the photos if u have discord
I really like this idea. It would help against Mix-Packers and Mega Packs for certain dinosaurs, too. It would also encourage territorial behavior, for example, for deinos that would get discomfort for sharing the same lake, etc. Only question is in what radio the discomfort hits, in what amount of time, etc. Because it could spoil ambush attacks or alert players that there are predators in the area which would give them a massive advantage to be on the lookout
I think if any game needs the comfort system it’s path of titans cause I’m tired of seeing people just sitting around each other despite size and diet differences
Path of Titans was developed with the concept of mix packing. That's why many dinos have complementary or support abilities. You and many may not like it, but that's how the game was build and adding comfort would basically go against it

crouching prevents discomfort. try mix packing when you must crouch 24/7
