Middle of the Map 2016 is a ride in Kansas City , Missouri. MOM attracts many stunt bikes and riders. Bikers ride wheelies, roll stoppies and do many other tricks and stunts on the streets of KC. Police chase motorcycles riding crazy and insane. Cops pursue bikers but can't catch anyone... except one. Motorcycles get away from police.

This would never happen in my country...at these slow speeds, when cops are chasing, they will make an educated guess that a crash probably won't kill you and will ram your ass into the gutter...or just road block you at the last second and also make you pay for damaging government property

Cops are so soft with them... They don't even throw them from the bikes. Here in Argentina motor cops saw you pass a red light or doing wheelie and they push you away with their bikes to make you fall so you don't escape if its necessary. No joke.

I'm an EMT, there is no need for walls. During the riding season you know on a beautiful day you'll be scooping brains in a helmet. They stand there crying acting surprised while their buddy is laid out with half his head missing. You just look at them and wonder what did you expect would happen? I ride, I don't ride 140mph with traffic on the road though. Doesn't matter how much experience you have or how well you ride, something will happen if you ride long enough. If you lay down at 140 into a guard rail or column when that day comes it's over, your family will not ever see your face again.

Alright, legitimate question: What are the cops planning to do here? There's well over 20 stunters, and two motorcycle cops just keeping pace, occasionally trying to block. They can't be trying to stop everybody with just two bikes, are they? What's the plan if someone does stop? Just hope they don't leave as soon as you look away? I don't understand what they are trying to achieve by keeping up with this group.
I assumed that they're monitoring infractions until they get more support. Maybe that ending was cut. I would assume that each night they catch one or two. When they catch one, they add up the infractions witnessed, videotaped and on CCTV on previous nights.
I've seen rogue two wheelers shut down the Capital Beltway. I-495. Despite several calls, not one LEO ever showed up. They give all bikers a bad image.

I live in the Kansas City Metro and you can hear these guys running across the city on some nights. There are usually a couple of different groups.
The guy at the end is smart.
They probably charged him with something because he was with the group.
All he had to say was he wasn't with that group... the police wouldn't know if he was or not... Maybe he wasn't with the group who knows... Could've been the one unlucky guy riding out by himself then all these hooligans go flying past..

Mr. MotoPhoto, I understand your perspective but while you may have some of the population "on your side" or simply wanting to "see blood" (namely motorcyclist's blood), these games, WHEN you go against the police or the drivers, are getting fellow riders a bad reputation. Worse, it gets some drivers to become aggressive towards motorcyclists. As you know, we (bike riders) do not have much weight against a pick-up or a big car. I have been riding since 1969 and have found that for the most part that motor policemen are courteous, protective and supportive of fellow motorcyclists (i.e. us). Even if it’s a negative comment, it’s only a scenario for which I engage in while assigned to my patrol district, because I never was promoted to first line Supervisor. I have 36 in , and retire after my youngest passes the state bar exam. Don’t take my comment in any sort of aggressive manor, it is merely what we signed off to over 10 years ago, when an enormous amount of civilians were being killed, allegedly due to cops chasing vehicles for traffic sanctions, and/or misdemeanors. We had to sign a letter of indemnification for our Metro dept, essentially stating that we were liable & will be punished through administrative policy, and could lead to criminal charges if they find it was with deliberate contempt against the public. We had 40 hours training, however I’ve seen not 3 instances where cops were held liable, simply because they knew how to get around the contract, that’s why FOP is for, yet it works to keep bad LEO’ s from being fired, and to be transferred to another division with a promotion. There was a cliche’ at the academy “ If you want the best sub-station with a promotion, then really f ck up ,and you’ll be promoted ,at the division of your desire with a huge pay raise” It didn’t make sense when I graduated the academy in 1984, but after 3 years, I got into a car chase with a vehicle that I couldn’t catch up to , because they were overly risky with their driving, I found out that it was 2 detectives driving a vehicle seizure without plates. I called off the chase way before the policy changed because were actually on sidewalks , against one way traffic etc etc. They got transferred & promoted , but separated to other stations? I didn’t understand why? But there’s your finest that civilians will not make heads or tails from.

for sure impeding traffic since they were in a group doing the same think. And yes sometimes the get details from the police camera to notate the exact details. Those are on state laws, if they go on city ordinace, which each city has their own, there may be several charges.

Most of these bikes doesn't have plates or actually have fake plates installed.

It's not about outrunning. moto cops are trained for perfect handling of their motorcycle. So they will catch you eventually.
one of my buddies is a motocop, and most of us ride better than him.
On the takeoff? definitely not, but on the chase? it's actually very possible, unless the bike being chased is staged for actual track use. I ride a Victory Vegas 8-ball and when already riding and come up across some sport bikes I can easilly smoke them. Normally can stay neck and neck with most sports cars too. But like I said it's all about if the bike or car are suped up or not.

I'm not a motocop, however I've been a cop on patrol for 33 years, I wouldn't light them up at all, plus I'd turn off, I feel someone may get killed just for chasing them on traffic sanctions, there are no visible felonies committed in the presence of a peace officer, CUT THEM LOOSE. Your main duty is to protect and serve the public, to say your overwhelmed is an under statement. You look like Barney Fife behind all those motorcycles. You don't want to be the cause of one of those youngsters being hurt, or killed either, due to reckless young police officer tenacity.

Yeah, most motorcycle accidents only hurt the motorcyclist. Besides most of the speeds shown in the video weren't that bad. Motorcycles can accelerate and stop very fast which makes them very good at maneuvering out of bad situations. It's not like this stuff is done every day. Let them have their fun. I'd recommend having some Motorcycle cops with sirens to let everyone else know to be aware of their surroundings but to be more tactful in how they engage. I saw some dangerous maneuvers by the motorcycle cops.

Wireless license plates will be forced at the cost of motorcycle owner. Like Bluetooth or NFC. Bikes in gangs will be immediately identified by police vehicle and drivers license suspended till the end of investigation.

You ever notice how with these groups they generally cooperate with traffic laws, red lights, yield, etc... but as soon as a cop lights them up it just becomes a free for all upping the danger level by at least a factor of 10
Very disappointed. Videos like this should end with a biker getting hit by a truck and his girlfriend on the back being thrown into oncoming traffic where her head is popped under a bus.
