Hmmm, let’s see the comparison 06: Mash the X button on easy to kill enemies, use chaos boost, mash the X button on easy to kill Mephiles. Static animations and no flare. Generations: Dodge attacks in slow goop, use doom squid, use chaos spears, doom squid platforming, doom squid against big guy. Lots more expressive animations, a phase change animation, and an ending sequence with chaos control. Yeah I think I see a clear winner here
In gameplay this Boss fight is much better than the two from 2006. But in personality, this Mephiles from x Shadow generations doesn't even come close to being as threatening as the one from 2006. He lost like a coward. And he still has a ridiculous voice. (Dan Green was totally missed)
The change in Mephiles personality is him being desperate to no longer existing anymore and being erased from the canon, that’s a pretty natural progression for his character
@@rickyronny4019He could easily remain relatively calm even in this situation. Maria and Gerald being sent to their deaths and not despairing, Mephiles could easily do the same thing.
@ he initially does, but it’s just a facade. I still think the change in Mephiles’s character is appropriate. He rlly can’t control and psychologically mess with Shadow since he’s no longer canon and as such Shadow doesn’t remember him
@@verdadeirojoaovitor3250both are a different case. Gerald and Maria *DID NOT KNOW* about their certain doom, even on the story both refuse to know their fate when Shadow was about to tell him. While Mephiles already aware the state of his existence for being part of time god and all, desperately trying to reclaim his existence once more. It's understandable why Mephiles would not be so calm about it compared to Gerald or Maria and Generations event is his only ticket to rise from the void.
I always like the fact that when Shadows glows red, Mephiles can no longer hide Shadows, shadow. Chaos Boost was cool, but I guess there was no way to fit it in Shadow Generations.
Honestly, it took me until this video to notice how close the new voice for Mephiles was compared to the original. It's *very* close, but Dan Green still does it better.
I still wish Shadow would use chaos boost in this fight
0:51 "proof why shadow is better than sonic"
LMAO
I always thought he’s better than Sonic 🤷🏾♂️
Poor Mephiles in his last dialogue shows that he only wants canon in history
And then fuse with Iblis to become Solaris and do its whole thing lol

I love all refs to the old sonic games is what makes Sonic x Shadow generations good
The reason he lose is bc of he didn't got any kind of Chaos Emerald, and lose the power as Solaris it dosen't even exist anymore
No the reason he lost is cuz he ain’t as powerful as he used to be
@rickyronny4019 That's what i'm saying ok
Which version of the battle with Mephiles (and him himself) do you like better?
I was able to get an S rank on Hard mode Mephiles. 2 min 20 seconds. The no rings barely made a difference.
Still a great boss fight
