Have been enjoying listening to these while I'm workin! I like how unique every conversation is and how vast crochet can be that many probably don't realize. I have never made garments either really. What a great project she had during 2020, way to rock it!
I love Janine and her designs. I love that a lot of the crochet community embraces all sizes as opposed to the clothing industry. It is enough to make you cry to find fashionable clothing I can make in my size.
I really enjoyed this interview. Sarah Jane even though I've been crocheting for 50 years ,you are a much better at crocheting then I am .Your work is beautiful. I have made many bunting (long baby gowns ) and a delicate christening gown.I recently made my 6 y/o great grandaughter an Abigail Fairy dress with lots of help from Reggie .They all turned out wonderful. All that to say that there's no doubt you would sail thru any garment you set your hands to.So take the plunge.Maybe make your girls something. The dress was quite easy once you got the yoke going .Good luck and have fun with it.
I purchased this book and LOVE it! I made one sweater already and plan on making a long cardigan. Super easy to understand, great pictures! Highly recommend this book!
Really good info. Thank you for the enlightening information. I *always* struggle to find clothes that are in my size and flatter my shape. I will be looking into her patterns.
Fabulous podcast, this lady is in Winnipeg where I was born and grew up. I have already ordered her book, it will be with me tomorrow, can’t wait to get started. Thanks Bella, I’ve always been afraid to try garments but I will definitely have a go now.
I was so excited to catch this episode Sarah-Jayne as you interviewed Janine. I am a brand new crocheter having been a knitter for years. I’m loving how there are wonderful modern crochet patterns being released (beyond crocheted granny square blankets 🤣- no shame in that by the way). I have Janine’s new book and can’t wait to start one of her designs. Thank you also for your excellent tutorials that have helped me on my new fiber craft journey. ❤️❤️❤️
Love the podcasts ! Each time I listen it makes me think about looking into other crochet aspects that I hadn’t always considered. It’s good to be introduced to new designers/crocheters too 😊
💖💖💖💖 that was really interesting, I’m really enjoying these podcasts, the only thing is I do prefer to watch on YT, I’m not very good at just listening without seeing the person 😂 🥰
I found this so interesting. Thank you for such a detailed chat. I am trying to learn tech editing just now and have lots of patterns that are written-ish but it is quite scary to take the next step! Grading is so important. Anyway, I am off to buy the book now. Also love your new home accessories.

Wish I had watched this when it came out! I definitely would have asked for her book for Christmas. New goal for 2033: make my first sweater.
