North Esk Paddle Fest 2023 (2nd place at Australian Whitewater Film Festival)

2nd place at the Australian Whitewater Film Festival. Watch in 1080. Great slow motion footage of the advanced and intermediate races on the Laykila / North Esk River near Launceston although no real storyline (hence 2nd place). Unfortunately I can't seem to upload it at the 2.7k format the orginal file is in.
Whilst most competitors were in whitewater kayaks there was also 2 teams of whitewater packrafters. About 70 people in total attended the event which was a great day out with ideal water levels at 2.23m.
It was great fun capturing this footage and also editing it. As a result I think I'll get back into creating some more videos, something I have not really done since 2019.

Thanks @joshuaresta. I’ve always liked sliders and panning with a BoomBandit but was amazed at how well the boom pole worked with the new GoPros.

Really appreciate your comment. More to come. Just got back from filming our local (Tasmania) extreme race. Low water but some great footage of kayakers (& packrafters) paddling some decent drops in a pairs race. Cheers
