Friendship with Silksong ended, now Blasphemous 2 is my best friend

For those wondering why the Penitent One doesn't have his sword, in Wounds of Eventide, the blade of Mea Culpa disintegrated in the true ending of the game.
but i’m curious of how long has it been since the Penitent One went for a long rest, how many year has it been? And what sort of curse did The Miracle put on the world and what sort of evil cult who worships the Miracle and what was it that caused the Pentient One to awaken from his slumber
@@spore4893 Judging from the fact that we see Deogracias in the trailer petrified holding that sarcophagus, probably many years. We know that something to do with the Miracle was happening in the after credits scene in the true ending with that heart in the sky. At the end of the day. it's a great excuse to dive back in this amazing Spanish Catholicore setting.
I'm sure people are wondering but I would have lead with a more obvious spoiler warning
@@Gamxin I mean, the blade disintegrating is only a minor spoiler compared to what happened during the ending, and the description for this game spoils other parts of the true ending, such as the Penitent One's fate in the first game.
I'm glad we'll be getting three weapons to play around with instead of just a sword
one of the greatest games I've played in the last 20 years easily. Everything about it is perfect. The story, the art, the gameplay, the depth, the music, everything.....just perfection.
Yes I agree. An absolute masterpiece and the best of the Metroidvania genre. Art direction, level design, setting, physics, and music. The first one still gives me chills.

I'm so happy this game got a sequel, it was made by the only videogame company in my region, Seville, Andalucía, and it has a lot of reference to the city, not only it's a great game, it makes me proud of them for representing what Spanish videogames can be like

Blasphemous 1 was a masterpiece, absolute masterpiece.
The Spanish hit this in all the right spots.
Using Spanish christian folklore to make a game out of it was a genius move.
I REALLY HOPE this chapter 2 won't disappoint us.

I’m sorry, but I never realized there was any Spanish Christian Folklore in the game, would you have any examples in mind? I played this game blind and I still haven’t looked much up on it at all so this went completely past me as I’m unfamiliar with spanish Christian folklore

Been a while since I played it last, but the game's story and theme takes huge inspiration from Spanish catholicism. The big general thing is the game world's focus on punishment as penance and it continues on from there with details.
@@rl936 It's essentially a satire of Spanish catholic folklore. Hence the capirotes and overemphasis on penance and bodily punishment.

Whenever someone asks me for a game recommendation, I always tell them to look into Blasphmeous. This series hits the art, the music, the atmosphere, and the gamplay soo square on the head its just incredible.
I wanted to love Blasphemous cause aesthetically no game has ever appealed to me more but I always found it just doesn’t feel very good to play.
Yes same it's crazy hard why the don't add some update for easy mode for players who want a breeze fun run

@@Axxxel_in_Harlem remember not all players have the same skills so yeah a game should be more open for all players if it had more difficulty option for beginners of advanced player's that's all for example look how shin megami tensai 5 when they add a patch for easy mode and extra exp and money in the game for new players that didn't like the game when it was hard for them
I've followed the game kitchen team since The last door. I am such a fan of all their work. This is a day one buy for me, as Blasphemous was.
I remember finding the demo for The Last Door on Newgrounds and eventually finding the actual episodes, that was just before the 2nd episode of the first season came out, been supporting all thier projects since then. They have yet to let me down.
I've watched The Last Door gameplay in youtube... How can such a simple-looking game be so spooky ??

The first game was easily one of the best metroidvania I have ever played.

Excited for this! The first game was the only game I ever backed on Kickstarter (and the W101 ports, I guess). No regrets. It even looks like they improved on it with lots of movement techs on display and hopefully some solid level design to come with it.

One of my favorites of the Indie World also with Sea of Stars, what a beast! love the dark atmosphere games and this is EPIC, however I'll be rebuilding Hyrule and saving it from Ganondorf. Blasphemous 2 added to wishlist!

@@maraguilucho De salida solo salio en ingles, mas adelante y debido al éxito parchearon el doblaje con un doblaje al español y un DLC.
