I miss seeing all those old trucks out working, massive cb antennas, mechanical diesels. I remember when mack ultraliners were a common sight now hardly see them, still quite a few r models getting around, long live the old iron
Just driven that road today, those trucks and companies bring back many memory’s. My Dad passed away earlier this year and was a truckie from mid 70’s to 2005 when he retired.
Had his own truck, was with Klissers which became Vogel’s then he sold and was in freight Falcon Forwarders then Daily Freight, then Jarret Sands that became Roadstar
Brutha!, that was fantastic man great camera and sound, gotta love the V8 Mack! Haha thankyou brutha I'm gonna watch this again thru the stereo so the rest of the street can enjoy the Sweet sound of an E9 climbing a hill 😄
Wow so cool seeing those awesome longs Units Brings back memory’s of growing up in Taupo Mid to late 80’s Great times not just the boring freightliners Kenworths or western stars That’s all nz trucking seems to be Back also when nz was a great place to live When trucks were real trucks And drivers real drivers Not the Steerers we have today With their stupid yellow H’s Great vid thanks for the memories
This is fantastic, every professional in every truck on their side of the white line, now we have these imported drivers from India collapsing this profession.

Use to run that highway back in mid 80s with T/Line n b train was right old age of 25
Days of a set speed slow speed going up ,when what you had is all you got ,but you got there ,a work out for both the truck and driver
NOSTALGIA
500 V8s were certainly the glory days for Mack.
The 525 was still good, then after Renault and Volvo takeovers , it's been all downhill from there.
Extra curly! Great old footage there.

You got that right
