Now, I could go I feel like it any time I'm walking out of line And I know it Diffused, controlled So easy to compromise My thoughts, and the way I talk And the way I move Oh you, and me We're shifting eternally A lesson from Mr. Gray And I know it And I don't mind If you let me stretch my mind 'Cause just seeing how it's been being It's just a matter of years Feel the vital signs But I know it's time Take my desire This time you know That it's taking its toll The picture paints it out Can you see it? Alive and dead I sicken in my bed I'm dying of a lack of trying What are the calls? Feel the vital signs But I know it's time Take my desire And I see It never ended quite Losing my mind Take my desire
I did not state 'sounds like', I stated it REMINDS me of Radiohead, and only a bit. It may remind me of Radiohead for any one of a number of reasons including, but not limited to, their sound. Distinct and subtle difference. You obviously missed it, or didn't understand it. The world is not just about you Gen Y person. Regards
Tall Tales But True The sound reminded me of The Verve album Urban Hymns when i heard it on Triple J today. I can see where your coming from when you say it sounds like Radiohead. It's a awesome track nonetheless!

The song sounds similar to a lot of different ones and they all blend together so smoothly but it still contains its own unique style. And that's why the paper kites are one of my favorite bands ever
+Samescape I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's talking about Dorian Gray from the story The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, especially with the "This time, you know that it's taking its toll/The picture paints it all, can't you see it" line.
Now, I could go
I feel like it any time
I'm walking out of line
And I know it
Diffused, controlled
So easy to compromise
My thoughts, and the way I talk
And the way I move
Oh you, and me
We're shifting eternally
A lesson from Mr. Gray
And I know it
And I don't mind
If you let me stretch my mind
'Cause just seeing how it's been being
It's just a matter of years
Feel the vital signs
But I know it's time
Take my desire
This time you know
That it's taking its toll
The picture paints it out
Can you see it?
Alive and dead
I sicken in my bed
I'm dying of a lack of trying
What are the calls?
Feel the vital signs
But I know it's time
Take my desire
And I see
It never ended quite
Losing my mind
Take my desire
Reminds me a bit of Radiohead. Brilliant track I must say. I am off to buy it.
Doesn't at all.

Sounds more like the Verve

It actually reminds me of Sulk and Bones from The Bends.
If I wouldn't know who was this song, surelly I would say The Verve is playing
More of this guitar based stuff please. Completely different band. Dont do your other grass chewing stuff. This is brilliant.
Sound like The Verve too.
I was just thinking the same thing!
I recently talked to the Paper Kites about this song. Brand new interview with them went up today. Check it out on my channel.
The beauty of lock down is discovering music gems like this song and artist. Sheer brilliance., 🌟🎵🎼
I get american woman from this track
This song sounds similar to the verve
That's what I always thought
Sounds like they were influenced by several bands.... You each nailed it..... great music

this sounds similar to crawl by kings of leon
Yes it does!!
absolutely sick album

The beginning of this reminds me of the beginning to "American Woman" by the Guess Who.

this song got me thru so many harsh nights
Love it!!! So needed a track like this right now! Awesome!

With a hint of Paul Kelly, love it either way.

Who is Mr Gray? A metaphor fit depression, suicide ?
