- We explain underlying physics of exciton-polariton formation in a semiconductor microcavity. Fascinating fundamental effects can be observed in microcavity polariton systems, such as stimulated parametric scattering, non-equilibrium Bose-Einstein condensation and superfluidity. We have a large research activity aimed at understanding and exploiting the light-matter interactions in exciton-polariton systems: ldsd.group.shef...

Physics, when taught this way, is the most interesting thing to explore!! Hats off to this tutorial.
The animation is so epic...
I'm not a physics major. But I was able to understand this very well. Thank you for simplifying this complex topic.
A lot of hard work clearly went into making this crystal clear video. Kudos.
Are there more videos would be uploaded?
Your physics animations all are so epic!!!
Thank you! Yes, we are working on a few more at the moment. We don't have a final release date though, but we expect the next one to be out in a few months time. So, please stay tuned!
+1
Good animation to explain in the last
currently studying semiconductors, love this animation.
years trying to "catch" the exciton-polariton concept and this short and beautiful video has "enlightened" my effort...👋👋👋
This animated illustration is simply amazing
This is a wonderful video. It keeps you engaged and before you know if you have an understanding of a complex phenomenon. I am actually going to watch it again!
By far the best animation for a physics topic I've seen
This is absolutely fantastic.
The god-like editing work and animations, as well as the concise voiceover make this one of the best physics videos I've seen.
My mind is blown away by this explanation. Simply great!
Such an intuitive and clear explanation! Absolutely amazing
Amazing way to teach tough concepts.
This video is incredible, it manages to communicate the basic knowledge and ideas and the animation is so pleasurable to see. Congratulations and thank you!
Thank you for making it more easily to understand.
Right during my revision time..Great explanation
I subscribed without hesitation
Superfluid Mindstate 😌👌💫💧⚡
Just want to give a red Salute to the team who made this visual representation! Best science based animation ever seen!!
Thank you so much for explaining it in a as simple way as possible...
The animations were really great. I just heard the name in one of my courses and looked for a video that explains it bit more. But to be honest, I didn't expect such a nice video about polaritons.
Great animation. My understanding of this phenomenon has been elusive until now. ^^
I'm taking a course on nano photonics. Not a physics background, so has been struggling with the microcavity process. This video is life-saving!
Hello, and, again, welcome to the Aperture Science Computer-Aided Enrichment Center.
it was the best scientific explanation i had seen so far,
Nice visuals and editing.
can't debate the animation is so dope! and also clearly explanation, Thanks!
Very underrated video
This is very very good! We want more from you guys! : D Keep it going.
This is the coolest physics video i’ve ever seen 😂
Wow. Amazing video!!!
tbh I found the "glitchy" design a little annoying, but ultimately this video managed to make me understand polaritons. I have read many other sources on the matter and didnt understand it, but this video of all things was the source that did it. So great job 👍
Nice explanation with animation 👏
Excellent video and explanation!
Really awesome presentation!
Really great videos! Wish you could post more!
Cool animations and good explanation of the phenomena!
so good animation , it is amazing
Amazing. More people need to teach in this fashion. more I say. more.
No words to describe this video. You earned a subscriber :) 😘
wow what an explanation. exicton explained simply
Thank you so much for such best animated explanation 💖
Beautifully explained, great video, thanks.
Amazing animation made it so easy to understand the concept. Please make more videos like these.
Wow, this is god-level teaching videos!!!
Perfect explanation!
Excellent quality. Keep it up.
this is amazing !!! incredible video ! Hats off
why there are so few subscribers? This seemed to me as a most epic explanation of a polariton..
Incredible explanation!
great explanation with good animation
Wow el mejor video que he visto en este año
Man your work is awesome.
I would buy any animation from you!!!!
Awesome simulations please make more and more videos related to quantum physics and nuclear physics
Hope there are more videos though, what an amazing way to explain a quasiparticle
Thank you for the efforts to produce this beautiful video but it needs more explanation on the physics more than on the music.
omg incredible visualization!!
The animations is awesome! What program are you using? Please tell! It looks aaamazing!
holy fuck that's beautiful animation
I thought I knew most of what there is to know from the aether of UA-cam culture. But my mind just fucking exploded.
Thanks a lot for putting such efforts!
These videos are brilliant!!!
Awesome video and awesome explanation, thanks ! :)
Perfect explanation!!!!!
Amazing Video!
breath taking!
I doubt my 8-year-old understands physics much, but he also loved that video. Perhaps this is how the quantum world could be introduced at school, with an animation of a guitar string! :)
Animation is so beautiful❤❤❤
How make this.... please reply
I stopped the video just to comment about the animation. It is genuinely done
wow!!!!!!! this is great explanation!!!!
Well done. I hope to see more videos by you.
Remarkable explanation.....
Great explanation!
I am totally baffled by this amazing masterpiece animation. Thank you so much. can you tell me what is difference between plasmon and polaritons?
Thanks a lot! To answer your question, in general, polariton is a quasi-particle arising from the strong coupling of light (photons also described as electromagnetic waves) with some kind of electric or magnetic dipoles in the matter. In our video, we talked about exciton-polaritons -- polaritons which emerge from the strong coupling of photons and excitons, which are a type of dipole, inside a microresonator. Exciton-polariton can emerge also without the resonator but are a lot harder to observe and lack some interesting properties. When you refer to plasmons, do you mean 'surface plasmon-polaritons'? These occur when light (photons) strongly couples to dipoles of electric charges at the interface of a conductor and a dielectric (such as a metal-air interface). 'Surface plasmons' on their own are simply the oscillations (dipoles) emerging on the interface. Finally, 'plasmons' are quanta of oscillation of electric density inside a plasma. These three different 'plasmons' can be sometimes confused.
amazing video effects!! a bit more of theory would be nice
So amazing!! well-described.
awesome description!!!
Just awesome
Good job guys ❣️
Excellent ! many thanks
Wow really fantastic.Great explanation.
The animation is too good (and funny) :)
Finally! I get it now!
Love anything about quantum mechanics
Please give tutorial for animation 🙏
Bro epic animations ❤🔥
great effort. really appreciate
That escalated quickly!! :o
Great Video
Awesome job!
I love this video!
great animations can you do more videos
this is so great
Great video, subscription mode on ;)
Make a video on surface plasmon polariton
That was tremendous.
Dil jit liya si tussi...
I was at awe.
So, what would theoretically happen if the atoms in the Quantum Well were negatively charged? Would it be the same reaction or an increase in energy release?
Woah this was poetic!
