If you were nervous during these interviews, you’re genuinely so good at not showing it! No red face or shaky voice and very well spoken. I find if you’re nervous during an interaction just focusing on listening to the other person that helps with responding with a clear and direct answer which you seemed to do!
Just like other people in the comments are saying theres not a chance someone could tell he was nervous, if he actually was its crazy how good he was at keeping calm and looking so comfortable and proffessional at everything he does, I wish I could get anywhere near that in the future.
I think it’s super cool that you are showing these older interviews. I’ve done a few due to my unique background and I can’t stand watching them back haha, so big kudos!
I really enjoy these videos, where we learn more about you. Your advice is 100 percent better than the advice those other big channels give. It has helped me so much. Thx Anthony
Since I was in 5th grade, I have been diagnosed with Asperger's which is a type of autism. I started my own channel called TheAspieMe which talks about it. Because of how much time I spend learning the social language, socializing was a prepared performance for me. I have very few interactions where I feel "genuine". Nowadays my performances are unprepared because I have had 7 years of studying the social language and psychology.
Honestly the first interview and the 3rd I think it was that the lady was cutting you off pissed me off ( because of the interviewers) but you handled yourself well! I don't think you seemed nervous and you reacted well to the lady that was being hella rude, I would have deff started to give attitude so you handled it well in my opinion lol
I dont think you looked nervous at all. Like I would say the opposite, your hard work paid off in these circumstances and really goes to show that composure can be kept in very socially pressuring environments. As far as the first interview goes, I am actually so surprised that the producers didn't step in to support you in addressing the man on the street. I think that regardless of their lack on intervention that you handled it really well. From the perspective of the homeless man, you acknowledged him when everyone else was fully prepared to ignore him like he's a fart in the room. Great great work Anthony.
I can’t believe your nervous only bc u do such a good job at not lookin it and u seem comfortable that’s cool to know tho bc when I do my UA-cam video if ever ik o can be nervous and that’s ok

Hello handsome Anthony! I have a question for you: Am I right If I quit drinking alcohol becauss if makes me ultra relaxed and it brings out in me the wild side and I sometimes have a feeling that doesnt bring out the best in me because im socially akward like you were and i have a huge social anxiety... So when I was in high school I tried with drinking but turned out worse for me- I only met people who arent right for me(I guess it is the logic since i am not deep thinker when Im drunk)
Drinking is for a social crutch. But then you’ll rely on the crutch. Being sober is more fun socially. When I drink, I do it to relax when I’m introverted.
The second female interviewer's question was weird and leading: "Are you a part of the me-me-me generation?" LOL, what? 1. That's a judgement and 2. Even if a person is approaching life from a selfish place, they aren't going to be self-aware enough to admit it on live television. Because she delivered a covert accusation (you're a me-genration person), and you saw her as authoritative (she's the experienced news anchor, you weren't), you felt like you had to answer her. So, you said, "Yes, I guess so." Even though you didn't even know what the heck she meant and it felt bad! If you felt like you were both equals in that moment, and ignored the time pressure, you may have said, "What do you mean by that?" Rarely do we think we can flip the roles when talking with "an authority." But we should all make people explain themselves instead of going along with things that don't make sense. Just thinking aloud for myself here =) Good learning opportunity.
A lot of your "struggling" in some of these interviews is due to poor interviewers honestly. They interrupted you too much and concentrated on the wrong things. You see this a lot in TV. My mom is a journalist so I know what a journalist should do in these interactions (listen, build a connection, concentrate on the right things and try to understand the person they are interviewing. In the end having good basic social skills).
I guess your way of being nervous is that you start to act More excited. It doesnt look like your nervous to others but you definetly acted More excited In tv than In your videos where you have like More genuine calm energy.

The producers of that first interview set you up to fail. Given the circumstances I think you handled yourself well
❤️❤️❤️❤️
