It's funny watching you and Trent walk around with big a## cameras! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you guys are documenting these trips. You guys are doing what I can't afford to do right now.
I live in Boise and am not a pilot, no GA at all. But I love your videos flying Idaho backcountry and love seeing why you can.do building your plane and flying. Love the music too! Maybe someday I will have an opportunity to fly in a private plane. I have flown all over the world commercially but never GA. And what you guys are doing is super cool! Where do you keep your plane? Maybe somewhere someday I will see you in the air. Approaching 70 so definitely on my bucket list. God bless and keep the great videos coming!
Guys in he planes wish they were in the boats and the guys in the boats wish they were in the planes. I would much rather fly like you guys. Very few people get to see what you see. Great Video editing.
Hey Joe. I've been rebalancing life after the build, and upgrading to Captain (not to mention living the low-seniority life now that I'm near the bottom of the captain list). I'm starting to edit again as I have 5 videos shot and in the queue. How're you?
@@CLEAREDDIRECT You were lost...but now you're found...somehow in the spam folder. I kinda reckoned that a reset had to be coming eventually. You were a very busy dude with a lot of balls in the air (more than one interpretation of that is acceptable by the judges). You chose well, I think. No matter how you cut it...the little planes and vids, are a hobby. The family and the big planes, are your life. Since you're back...I will assume that the rebalance worked. Stay groovy, my man. Ps...congrats on the captain thing. I have no doubts that you will fill the left seat ass grooves like a champ.
@CLEAREDDIRECT I've been eyeballing the Kit Fox build for awhile now.. however, your comparison video has me thinking different now. Nice job on your new toy!
Someone please tell me how the shots from the starboard side of the aircraft are obtained please. All I can figure is that you put a go pro right on the edge of the wing pointing towards the pilot. Then you use AI to create the portion of the wing that the camera is attached to. Is that it? Is it a secret? Um....selfie stick and AI Erases the stick. And the stick allows PAN & TILT?
Hey Steve, I've been enjoying the hell out of your videos man, thanks. I have a Cherokee 180 that I'm enjoying for now but I want to start building a Rans (at the firehouse!). Did you ever calculate how many hours you spent on the build? Trying to get an idea of the time committment I can expect. . . I live in Ukiah and we fly up your way from time to time. Just flew up for Sturgill Simpson at the Grove and over to Stanley from some hot spring'n...
Thanks, that’s awesome! What a cool thing to do at the firehouse. I estimate my build hours to be ~1,500 but that includes designing the electrical schematics and building the wire harnesses. A first time builder can probably knock one out in 1,200 if all goes smoothly. Stop by Bend and say hi!
Ok so it's all just camera up on wing and later the AI does it's thing with the plane. I've noticed something odd with the ground and whatever meets the ground. Shoes, wheels, etc...
No AI. Simple firmware combines two images which overlap. Think of how your brain takes the image from both your eyes and “erases” your nose. I painstakingly edit the pans, zoom, exposure, and color correction.
Trent's smoke pops must be referred to as Freedom Farts
I'm not sure I agree with this statement...
Should I change the video title to, “Steve got high sniffing Freedom Farts!”
😅😂
Great video! Thanks for posting.

A fun adventure! Great camera work and superb editing along with your music, perfectly paired! Fun to watch.
Thanks! It’s pretty amazing to by flying with the guys that started it all for me. Full circle…
Love the long form! Great editing on the 360. I am still learning on that toy!
Thanks! I think I have too many pans and rely on it a little too much. I’m still learning it too! Pretty amazing tool/toy!
man that is some pretty flying in some pretty country
Awesome video

@@windsurfed1 haha right? Thanks a lot for the nice note.
Steve, the long form was stellar!! Glad you all were safe short of some tailwheel issues..
Luv it TY :)
The guy in the boat is saying, I wish I was flying like those guys. It looks like such a blast.
Nice trip and good video of my favorite area. Sent note about salmon plane wreck 11/17. Small steps. Cheers H
Yep. It’s challenging flying on even the days with the best weather. Those guys are good. I’ll look for your note. Thank you
@@CLEAREDDIRECT email didn't go
What a trip man! Making me jealous. I almost bought an S-6 this past week. But, I need something that quick folds. Need to also get my TW endorsement.
Siiiick😎
Build on then fly west, Derek!
Hey Steve. How's it going? I'm missing those updates.

Awesome video! I noticed the Freedom Fox is for sale? What did you guys do to that precious aircraft?!
Haha no it's fine. It's just time. Trent wants a little more baggage room for cameras ;)

Out of state airstrip baggers!
