Holly, I watched a few of your videos before my interview with Amazon last week and was offered a position today. Thank you for having such amazing resources.
Thanks for sharing! This video is very useful. You can really tell the difference when someone is prepared for a interview and when someone isn't. Not only that, but when I'm prepared for an interview I'm more confident and relaxed during interview. Worse thing to do is wing it. Looking forward to your next video!
Been researching AWS and working out answers to AZ principals with real-world examples throughout my career. Everyone needs to do this introspective step regardless of the company you are interviewing with.
Really like you videos. For me being a person who has been working for 19 years and have not had to interview. The tools that you share helped me a lot.
Hi Holly, I have been going through your playlists and other videos. However, I find it very difficult to get the information that I am looking for. For example, in this video, I was hoping you will tell at least tell top 5-6 questions about customer obsession, or the points one should have in his/her answers while answering customer obsession. However, the video is mostly about glassdoor, STAR method, and research (which I believe whomsoever has reached to this video would have done). Hoping to see more to-the-point videos. Thanks!
Have you seen my LP questions and examples playlist? This video is to help viewers understand and how to dive deep in type of questions such as Glassdoor which most don’t know.
Hi Holly, thanks for sharing. I was actually expecting some good storytelling examples though of the customer obsession principle, what is a compelling one, what is not? And the question at 13:00 is not a customer obsession question as far as I understand. I believe who has found this video is already on their way of doing their homework. Hope this small suggestion sounds relevant.
Hi Chihiro, ALL the behavioral questions can be around having the customer in mind. Hence, why I choose customer obsession as my #1 top priority out of the 14 LPs. I mentioned using the STAR methods in all my videos, as it really helps you think bigger and dive deep on what you have done and how did you overcome it. If you follow the outline, you should be able to create your story. If you're interested to join my tech community, where I answer/help with professionals stories, check out my Patreon link in the description.
Hi Holly, I just had my online assessment 2 days ago. The customer obsession assessment was recording my own answer to each scenario to the best ability. There were 2 trials, and each trial was 2 mins for each scenario. It was quite nerve breaking for taking that assessment, but I'm glad that it was difficult... That would cut a lot of people who do not fit with Amazon's LP.
Hi Holly this is the perfect time for me, I have an interview with Amazon next week please can you give me some tips (Dispute for Accounts Payable Analyst)
Hi Holly, I have an upcoming triple interview for a shift/ area manager with amazon. I have found your content very useful, thank you for putting the content out there!
Hey . I have a question.. Can you give me an example of when you’ve been able to see around the corner to meet a customer need or delight a customer with a solution or product they didn’t yet know they needed/wanted?

Hi Holly, I have one good question. What if I don't have enough experience professionally with customers, is it okay to talk about my on-campus part time jobs regarding customer experience?'
Hi Holly! I am going through the interview process now for a Sr. HRBP role. For customer obsession, I don't deal with external customers but I always equate this with the staff as they are internal customers. Is this an acceptable spin on the customer obsession question? Not sure if you'll even see this but thought I would try:)
Hi Holly, Your videos are so helpful. Question 1 I don't have a direct relationship with customers at my current job. The last time I remember is over decades ago, and it was retail-related. How do I address that question? Please help I have a phone interview. Question 2 Is it ok to avoid how much I get paid currently? Not sure if Amazon asks for that. If so, how do I do that? Thanks
I started working as a technical Sourcer and due to COVID 19 I was working from home. Now It’s been one and a half year since I am working directly with my manager one on one and no interaction with any teammates or anyone else. I have no situations to discuss about these behavioral questions regarding my work environment. My Amazon interview is in 2 days. I have a lot of technical knowledge of my work but nothing to talk about a team environment. How should I handle and answer those questions? Please help?

Hi Holly, Thank you for creating immersive learning experience. It does help a lot in focusing on the preparation rather than just getting nervous n going under prepared for an interview. I'm set to appear for a Technical Sourcing Recruiter position with Amazon for bangalore, India location tomorrow but cannot find any salary related details or potential questions on glassdoor. Any last minute help?
Also JD says- "The Recruiter will work with a team of recruiting professionals focusing on finding the best distribution and operations professionals across the country. " Does it mean, it is to hire for warehouse related positions?
I am not sure if India has a similar salary site such as levels.fyi in the U.S, I would do a google search. Don't pay too much attention to the JD, simply ask your recruiter that should be preparing you!
Holly, I have only worked for internal projects and projects within my company. I haven't got any experience in working with customers. Do I still have a chance with Amazon?
Hi Holly, I’m going through the interview process with Amazon for a bilingual escalation specialist. My next step is a phone interview can you point me in the right direction on what I can expect and how long I should wait to schedule it?Thank you
I am a software developer and in my last role which spanned across many years I did not have a lot of interaction with customers. How acceptable is it to refer to stakeholders (PMs, in my case) as customers in my case?
Hi Holly, I love your videos! For customer obsession, e.g. I was working for Australian client, we had all data on webpage designed by my project, Customer asked for a help to calculate some specific KPIs from data, which I completed even when it was weekend as he wanted those soon. Later I proposed a solution which enabled him to derive KPIs any time in visual format. Is this a good and correct example for customer obsession?
Hello! Such a great channel! What about servicemembers? Amazon looks for servicemembers but for some leading principles, such as customer obsession, is not easy to create a storytelling in our service experience. Thank you!
I’m of the opinion now that if a company has a plethora of people with UA-cam channels set up to help people beat their robotic, rigid and dehumanised interview process. It’s not a nice place to work and certainly the process isn’t efficient in securing good people with good skills. Not a dig at you, just an observation generally. I’ve always found interviews with Amazon almost like you’re talking to an alien who’s trying their best to act like a human 😂😂👽
My channel is not Amazon focus; simply answering all the community (job seekers) questions which is 99% Amazon. Amazon is a tense environment as they are busy focusing on obsessing over their customers, which is you and me :)
