I'm curious if you've done any testing regarding wild baby dinos and how to guarantee bonus levels when claiming them. I've seen a bit of discussion online, but no one seems to have a concrete answer. The many experiences I've had in-game vary considerably, and I haven't noticed any consistencies as of late. My latest theory is that it may only be babies that get bonus levels, not juveniles or adolescents, but I haven't tested it yet. I noticed that you said you weren't really interested in breeding, so this may not be up your alley, but I think your knack for extensive testing would allow you to figure it out. All of this, of course, relies on the idea that it isn't a bug. If you *are* thinking about looking into it, I have some examples (including video evidence) that I'd be more than happy to share!

I can't speak fully for ASA as I didn't verify and with the Oviraptors I stopped monitoring my tames in ASA... But in ASE, they would lay the eggs when you go in range and it "leaves hibernation" given the timer has elapsed. (Example: Unlog from a dedi server for 24h when no on else is playing, all your timers go down to 0, when you log back on, all the creatures would lay the eggs at the same time). Obviously on servers with players all around you can't really do this as other players will also remove the creatures from hibernation and cause them to lay the eggs...

Your fresh tamed Ovi will auto pick up wild eggs as well... and you may lose your first 127 Ovi to an angry Bronto / Trike pack the second you bring it back to base. Thanks Ark. Let's try again.
Eggs arnt layed by dinos when you're out of render. Not sure on how it works if you leave dinos on mating. They probably mate if youre out of render and will drop the egg when you come back into render
What if your holding it will it still pick up eggs. Could I literally just fly through the scar not have to go through the nests and collect all the eggs. If its 60 foundations cubed you could fly through the middle with a high level ovi and come out with an insane number of eggs
Might sound like a right bob but my dinos are not dropping any eggs for my oviraptor to pick up I have the oviraptor in a cage on wandering would this mean it won’t pick any up? Had it atleast and hour and oviraptor won’t get any eggs unless I breed dinos?
Im having the same issue but im thinking jts the level of my oviraptor. I havent found a high level one yet. Mine is in the 80’s im sure that has something to do with it..
No he’s saying the range is increased whether it’s melee or not the higher level oviraptor the more range ppl were getting it confused and thinking melee actually played a part
Title is bs. All my ase bases have always been kibble farms. Exp after val was released. Ur title should of been a automatic kibble egg farm . As a auto kibble farm would make kibble without u doing anything. So it entirely wrong with title buddy
Changed it. I think you're right. It's hard to come up with the perfect buzz words to pull attention, especially after testing, recording, and editing for 2 days straight. The thumbnail and title have to compliment each other also. This is the first time iv made a major change to a thumbnail after 24 hours, so it will be interesting to see if it makes a difference. Mate boost does nothing for the range.
Ovi can NOT pick up enemy eggs.
Ovi can pick up allied tribes eggs

Just weigh him down with stone and enable wandering. It can still pick up eggs infinitely over its max weight

They updated it, they now collect water eggs.(Tuso, Frog, Diplocaulus, Etc…)

it doesnt pick up wyvern eggs with egg collection ever sadly. Not sure if it works picking up normal eggs though from being carried

It's probably eating the eggs it picks up instantly. Meat in troughs don't work it only eats eggs.

Yes. The range is fixed and you enable wandering to turn it on

the melee does change its range. I had an even high level one and it was leveled into weight it didn't pick up nearly as far
