In this era of UA-cam and TikTok trickery, it is refreshing to see great playing and friendship serving an excellent composition. This is what music is all about -- thank you for this!
As an older musician, I'm still a fan of paper charts and have more experience with them. The pages have to be taped together and foldable/flippable in just the right order so that turning pages is easy and lands you at the right point in the tune without interrupting your flow. This is kind of a lost art. I've less experience with digital charts on tablets, but the same principle has to apply. Of course, the solution to all this is having the tune and its form memorized, BUT AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT NO MORE.
Absolutely killer tune and performances from EVERYbody. LOVE the editing and including showing the recording session as well the playback listen-down session in the control room together. Fantastic in every way. Cheers, Simon. Awesome stuff.
Hi Simon, habe euch live gesehen in Eupen werend der tour, Say it again mein favorit! Der drum part am ende vom Gadd zum abschluss ist super! Mochte gerne sehen was er da macht, kommt da auch noch ein video von? Leider beim kurzen video von say it again auf deinem kanal steht diesem stuck nicht drauf. Danke!
@BishopWatusi Unfortunately not. But i have to respect his age and his enormous talent he showed on these numerous recordings. It's just sad to see him now. I wish him all the best.
@BishopWatusi Well, being a busy working professional bassplayer since more than 30 years i definately know what i'm talking about. Listen to fresh guys like Alex Bailey (former Marcus Miller drummer) and listen to Steve Gadd in this recording - a hell of a difference - it's sad to hear Steve Gadd, who i always liked very much, now almost falling asleep while playing.

I really really agree on that. Was my first toght.
I am a Palisades fire evacuee and this is just what i needed. Gadd always comes through!
Love that Will has the tablet chart and SG has 3 ft of chart on the biggest-ass music stand I've ever seen. Respect!

What a drive!!! Super cool. And that hammond sound...
Just lovely. Right at the corner of Carlton/Ford Ave.
Bruno reminds me so much of the great but hugely under recognised Drew Zing, one of my favourite of the so called session guys🎸🤘🏻
Dammit, In Gadd We Trust ❤️🎶
TOTALLY (from India).
Channeling Steely Dan. Thank you.

Killing it 😊
Playing directly off the sheet with such a damn cool groove - oh man!
Excellent. Gadd playing a differnt coloured kit, looks and sound great of course.
Wow-when SG came out of his solo onto the ride at 4:56 and you hit that high note. Pure magic!
Hammer Nummer, tasty groove, geiler Ton auf der Gitarre und der tiefe Ton bei 2:51 gefolgt vom Schrei bei 3:00: Gänsehaut
Humbling to be in the presense of such greatness - Steve floats on his solo and then comes back to the groove BAM - brilliant 🙏
Amazing ensemble! Maestro Gadd lifts every session he does to another level. Absolute legend!
These folk are obviously made for each other. Great sounding Hammond clone too
Great!!!!!!

Solid as F. And SOOOOO super tasty. Well played gentlemen!
Great playing as always Simon! And Bruno, Steve and Will are not too bad either 🙂

Ein sehr treffendes Detail ist mir noch aufgefallen. Auf der Seite der Orgel steht "Legend". Passt sehr gut zu dir - living Legend.😎

at 2'12'' : is SG about to roll a joint ? After seeing it again and again, the answer is : YES ...!
🤠
steve‘s snare sounds outrageously
fabulously tremendously äh….
good
not because it’s this or that snare no
because the way he hit‘s it🐣🤺🔫

Dr Gadd 🫡
Massive SD vibes incoming.
holy crap , how good is Will Lee on a 5
Why would you want to use that Viscount Legend when you have a C3??? Sitting the corner. Promo??? Great groove. LAcool from the early 80’s
Yeah but can you do it in Bb? very very nice playing all round, finger lickin' good!
Groovy🫶🏻👍🏻
Great musos but ultimately the sort tune-free Fusion noodling that leaves me cold.
With much respect, but unfortunately there is not much left of Steve Gadds skills.
You’re obviously joking!
@BishopWatusi Unfortunately not. But i have to respect his age and his enormous talent he showed on these numerous recordings. It's just sad to see him now. I wish him all the best.
@@Taurus13-xl4zh You seem to know very little about drumming

@ Bass player…explains everything 😂
