I think the reason why the food fight is a lot worse in the new version is because there doesn’t seem to be a point to anything anymore It’s more like they’re play fighting than the original food battle It also feels like they don’t wanna zoom out and let the choreography show which is something the new fight choreographers after Monty figured out pretty quick vol 4 Qrow fight
yeah i was just thinking that I have a lot of issues with newer rwby seasons but the fights was not something I had noticed until now. They need to hire someone who can actually choreograph a half decent fight but I guess finding a good writer comes first.
@@alternateaccountnumber3275 when you say “newer seasons” do you mean, like, volumes 4 & 5? because the fights have been really good from volume 6 onward, and the volume 9 finale just delivered possibly the best fight choreography of the show to date

The fight choreography got worse because Monty Oum *died.* And they’ve been a lot better volume 6 & onward.
