I have really enjoyed watching these videos. I don’t know how this isn’t the most popular/viewed fragrance review channel. Maybe it will truly be appreciated when there is an American version of George’s channel that takes place in Scranton, Pa.
I think he’ll be surprised. To me at least, this is one of the best men’s designer releases this year. I’m almost having a hard time even considering it a designer release, tbh. It’s niche priced and it’s niche quality.
Yes, it's Absolutely critical that the presenter enjoy themselves because that leads to a passion that manifests itself in the videos. It's clear George is enjoying himself because his fragrance content is the best on youtube.
Luna Rossa Carbon smells wonderful. Tried it at a shop here, and was blown away by how nice an everyday scent it is. To me, seemed office safe, but also great for going out. Just love how fresh and cool it smells. Definitely going to pick some up soon.
Coming from an Italian family Aqua Di Parma is a standard. I remember watching my grand father on a Sunday morning after shaving. He would reach in his top drawer and out would come out the bottle and 4 sprays later he would walk down stairs sit in his chair and out would walk my grandmother with his coffee . I would ask her how do you know when grand dad was here . She would take a deep breath and smile .. and say it was the scent of his cologne. When we had a special occasion he would call me in and spray me on the left and right side of my neck. Then when I hit 16yo he gave me my first bottle of Aqua Di Parma and I never looked back. Love Parmas cologne lines , most of all the "Colognia" edition.
Amazing video as always, George. I love how you are seemingly apologetic when you create “top ten” videos. Anyway, great list here, as always. Know what has been blowing my mind lately? Aqua Wood by Mancera. It’s such a lovely fragrance. Love that you’re putting out lots of content, George! 👊
Make no mistake, I’m a big fan. I enjoy your content and value your opinion. But I must confess I struggle to comprehend how one could dislike one fragrance (Sauvage), but love it’s copy (Prada Carbon).
I'm a bit outsider. Buying Dior Sauvage EDT must be now like buying a Barbour piece of cloth some years ago. I've smelt Prada Luna Rossa Carbon and I like it. It doesn't matter if it has ambroxan or not. I do not know how smell "Sauvage"-conciously-. But I'm going to try Dior Sauvage Elixir and Dior Sauvage "Very Cool". It's the outsider's path, do you know!. (smile)
I don't hear many people talk about it but Goldfield & Banks Silky Woods is blowing my mind. Bought a bottle at full retail. Got a sample and just had to have it.
Bought me a bottle of Prada Carbon back in 2019 after going through a sample from Sephora and it of my maybe 20 fragrances I've worn it more than anything else in my collection. Gets a lot of hate for not being long lasting but lasts 8+ hrs on my skin. Love it!!
Awesome video George! Great to hear so much about acqua di parma worthy fragrances because I absolutely love them! Some other cool scents to learn about, Great video 👍
Carner Rima XI is blowing my mind right now George! Seriously, I’m going to date myself, but it reminds me of how much I was in love with my first cologne, Calvin Klein ‘s Obsession in the 80s (and I was seriously obsessed with that smell back then, nothing like it is now, by the early 90s it had already been reformulated and ruined) it’s totally in that vein and it’s amazing. You’ve got to get your nose on it if you haven’t, i’d love to know your take on it
Fantastic video, thank you! You’ve made me want to try Oceania again. I love all Roja’s I’ve tried so far and I was excited to try Oceania but It was hyped to the point I assumed I was going to be let down after all the build up. Glad to see you are doing better and back to doing more reviews. We’ve missed you man! Well.. I did.. as much as one can miss a reviewer that I’ve never met before. Now I’m going to go blind buy all of these fragrances that I don’t have and hold you solely responsible if I hate them all because I can’t think for myself. 🤦🦥
Fall is coming! Fall fragrances for the office/work list would be amazing! I feel like Sillage by Armaf could be strong enough to project through the colder weather, but I never smelled it.
Knowing what I know about your taste in fragrances, I am eagerly anticipating your opinion on Sauvage Elixir. I hate Sauvage myself, the EDT is to harsh, the EDP is a bit better and the Parfum is not for me... however, the Elixir is AMAZING! I think it is totally the opposite of what you are expecting.
@@TheFragranceApprentice I feel like Demarchy watched your “the day Dior died” and decided to tell you to “suck it” with Elixir. *SUPER* eager to hear what you have to say about it.

Coming from someone who absolutely loves Luna Rossa Carbon and also isn't the biggest fan of Sauvage, I got the new Elixir and I think you'll be surprised, it's pretty good stuff.
George, as a veteran of Fragcomm like yourself, I respect your nose immensely. I used to watch loads of reviewers in my prime. As a jaded, old man I don’t watch many reviewers any longer. You are one of maybe 3 reviewers I still watch. With all that said, your assessment of Oceania is absurd in my opinion. I couldn’t disagree more. I don’t find it close to Enigma at all. Both Enigma and Oceania are incredible, but not close at all. I appreciate your channel and everything you do mate. Thank you for your opinion and perspective.
I don’t get Sauvage either. I just never like the line. The elixir is the only one I dig. It’s totally separates itself from the others. In a good way in my opinion. Right there with you with Carbon, its great on all fronts
I don't like any of the policy lines...but watching your videos..and the way you enjoy politics deep blue.... I went to ultra today to smell and check it out...🙃🙃🙃🙃😉😉 wow... it's definitely on my most list to get..I liked the scent too
I am surprised the Sex Apprentice has not made his own Fragrance yet! You need one George! Very Nice Review George! Your list is full of fragrances people do not no about! this is so great to here about! something different finally!
I got a sample pack of zoologist (Trex, Bat(2020), Squid, Sloth and Musk Deer). I was disappointed. For so long i have been reading how animalic and unwearable they all are. For me, no. Its the opposite. I found them all to be very easy to wear, almost as easy as designers. Trex was so nice and smooth and refined I wore it in 40 degree celcius and had no issues with it. Maybe its me and my tastes for heavy animalics that doesnt make them as impactful to me, but I hoped they would be more challenging. On a side note they were very nice, smooth and refined and Sloth was my favourite from the 5. I love the chamomile note.
I don't get the love for sauvage either, like you, I prefer luna rossa carbon... The Ralph Lauren deep blue is 1 of my favourite cheap designer fragrances
@@marky147 I agree completely. You should certainly get your nose on it. Some people observe a meaningful difference. Just understand no has ever mentioned Prada Carbon without also mentioning Sauvage.

@@aby3773 that’s crazy dog because I own all of them and it smells nothing like any of them to me. At all. Because they don’t smell like Elixir, because they have completely different notes, with the exception being lavender. It doesn’t smell blue, it doesn’t smell aquatic, citrusy, metallic, or powdery, like any of the other ones. It smells like cinnamon, nutmeg, wood, and lavender.
I got a sample of Nanshe by Nishane and it blew my mind. I'll have to live with getting samples for now $$$ Nanshe by Nishane is a Amber Floral fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Nanshe was launched in 2020. The nose behind this fragrance is Cecile Zarokian. Top notes are Carrot Seeds, Cardamom, Yuzu and Bergamot; middle notes are Rose, Floral Notes, Water Fruit, Ylang-Ylang and Jasmine Sambac; base notes are Powdery Notes, Orris, Sandalwood, Musk and Patchouli
