About the smokestack, the smokestack is directly above the smokebox on a typical steam loco; this is definitely not typical, given the pistons aren't part of the wheelsets. It's honestly a lot more like a steam-electric or some sort of geared steam loco with a vastle different setup to the archetypical steam loco with inline drivers.
No comprehensive walk-through is complete without a ravine jump, head-on collision with another train or end of the line impact. Probuild for sure and keen for more.
That looks awesome! I have a few ideas for some basis ideas for future builds, such as a PRR K4s, a USATC S160, the UP FEF series, the N&W A class, or the UP Challenger
@@terr-rawr-saurThis is not necessarily true, as yes, the modern version is usually used as „Der Drache“/„Die Drachen“, the older version, (wich arguably fits better, as it is a steam train) is used as „Der Drachen“/„Die Drachen“. And also it sounds cooler lol
@ That's what the tender does though??? In Stormworks there is not much reason for having a tender since the farthest we can go is the arctic and it can make it there on just the fuel in the locomotive anyway. its just a nice sneaky way to double the power output of the locomotive.
Isn't Drachen/Drache also a (little used) nickname for locomotives in German? (because they spew smoke.) Or am I Mandela-effecting that? Ah no, there is actually a specimen that is called "Drache". Built by Henschel in 1848 (their first year of building locomotives) and looks only slightly more sophisticated than Stephenson's famous "Rocket" from 1829. (Doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't also a nickname used for Locomotives in general.) Anyways, a very fitting name.
oh hell yea that looks sleek and absolutely badass in every way possible

That looks SO badass and clean, absolutely love it
Glad you like it :)

They really should have put a train track that goes off the edge of a cliff somewhere on the map.
A work of art my man. love the diesel punk aesthetic!
The horn gave me mad goosebumps, goes very well with the scheme of it all
Good! Its supposed to be a kind of spooky horn.
@terr-rawr-saur you did a fantastic job good sir

Ey... I live in that State! Now imma go think about having a beer about it
Edit: Also this seems to be a 4-8-6 layout so nice
Reminds me of the jawn henery steam turbine locomotive by Northfolk & Western
Cool Video, love the build. But Drachen is actually the plural form, so it means Dragons. The singular form would be Drache
Oh no! lol. Ah well, I still think it sounds cool.
@@terr-rawr-saur You could always make a helper train or a DPU to go behind the tender

It's so awesome, so sad that stormworks doesn't have any valve gears
Can you link some good passenger cars to use with this?
