Nice. Looks like you guys a slowly but steadily cleaning out all the old electronics from the old King Air's I worked on 30 years ago. About time 🙂 Once you get the old fuel qty and environmental control integrated as well, then it's really starting to look like a modern cockpit. Then you just have to figure out what to do with all the blind plates. If I could design it, I'd put the standby instrument where the Caution annunciator used to be. And make it bigger to fit. And then properly integrate the Autopilot control panel into the glareshield. Projekt for KA 270/370 🙂 PS. I don't see it in the video, but is the old volt/amp meters from the overhead gone as well???
Allow it to save mfd layer settings, fuel/w&b info and there are several “gotchas” on the nav/approach transition that need to be changed. Garmin is still ahead in this game.
Curiously, how much do the avionics weigh compared to the Garmin 1000 NXI avionics in the king air 350i after shedding upwards of 300lbs when switching from the Pro Line 4 avionics?

love the capability of the Fusion but the execution is miles behind Garmin. The graphics look 20 years old and the response to a touch seems very slow and seems to take a firm touch. Look at Garmin. You lightly touch the G3000 touchpads and they immediately and quickly respond...even the GTN 650/750 are quicker than the Fusion system. which is a shame because the Fusion seems to be more intuitive and convenient at amending flight plans and freqs and such
I sure hope that Textron and Collins have corrected the multitude of issues that plague the Fusion. I operate a 2016 350i and every screen has been replaced. I’ve had multiple failures in flight, flickering screens that come and go. I’ve been stranded away from home base on two occasions (with customers) because of failed screens. Nuisance faults that appear and then are unresolved. The Fusion is a technological marvel when it works, but is far to unreliable for its level of advancement. The 360 has gone back to “Normal” cabin window shades. The previous electronic window shades are a total failure and Textron doesn’t have a solution for it. I’ve flown King Airs for 30 years and WILL NOT recommend that we buy another one.
Flight Displays flickering or blacking out forever after few hours of flying, Electronic window shades, defective cabin lights, AP not engaging (FGC or servos failure), A/C fluid system leakage, corrosion at the bolts of the fuel tanks over the wings, landing gear actuator leaking. Man, but this aircraft still great, even with all those things. Here in Brazil between 2020 and 2022 i've changed more than 100 AFD's 3700. Crazy stuff.
Music is TOTALLY distracting from the presentation. Would you have music in a Collins class on an avionics or reoccurring training class? No, you wouldn’t because it’s distracting.
Strange mix of old school chromed toggle switches and touch LCD panels. Not a fan of these touch panels at all. Both types of equipment look cheap. The 360 flies nice enough but for that kind of money it just doesn't climb at the rate I'd like if required and it's not a jet. Honestly? I'd take a low hour jet any day.
Loved flying the kingair it’s great they have stayed with true proven cockpit design with added new features.
