    Helpful video! A small request sir. Can you please try to cover the basics of music theory (if you could please spare some time) in a series or a single video even if it's lengthy ? I guess single video would not be enough, series is only a good option but please can you ?

    Hi Sir. I am a kind of beginner. When i have to perform in front of friends in office, i face some issues like choking, losing rhythm, or forgetting the chord or strum pattern. And this is even after practicing a song multiple times. Any tips to deal with this?

      Practice

    • @rajagoswami277
      @rajagoswami277 2 роки тому +1

      of course.
      i) and also do jamming. You would be amazed by the leaps of improvement you get by jamming with other musicians. rhythm, for one, will get sorted out effortlessly.
      ii) Listen to the song more and get comfortable with the lyrics.
      iii) For chords practice ear training. I feel chords are not extremely stringent to be placed at a particular spot but yes there are sweet spots for transitions(coinciding with rhythm)and there are ideal chords which people agree unanimously on forums. But there always are variations of chords which can sound even better.
      Rhythm. Finding the beat. Getting the groove. is paramount for any performance. Esp if someone else is singing/playing another instrument alongside Because then you cant afford to do too much detour improv. Unless you guys have practiced that bit before.
      And if you are performing all alone then yes you can adjust tempo and even scale. But dont do too much modifications to suit your comfort level because:
      a) it may change the groove/feel of the song
      b) you wont have any incentive to find/learn new musings/techniques on the guitar. Its should be a learning curve throughout. IMO Capo sometimes makes a guitarist lazy :D
      Summary: Yes. practice. Jam. Develop a theory suitable to you. Music is vastly subjective. Feel it. all the best. And enjoy every bit of it.
