I met a Taxi Driver in Stuttgart who picked Elisabeth Taylor at the Stuttgart Airport. She was with a woman friend.
She was very pleasant and she talked to the driver. He saw all of her films and asked her questions about them and she explained everything.
It took a half hour to get to get to the destination. She gave him the biggest tip he had ever gotten.

I’ve heard the same thing about Elizabeth Taylor. No offense to Debbie Reynold’s but I don’t believe that the affair was intentional. It was born out of bereavement. It doesn’t make it right but it’s human.

@joannakuyt1512 Horse manure. Mickey Rooney's pregnant wife caught Taylor in the middle of an "intimate act" with her husband. Taylor was 14. Burton was married too, when they "met"; she was married to Fisher. Fisher stopped going to their movie set because their flirting was humiliating. She understood her studio couldn't stop the truth coming out from fans, that's all.

Taylor wasn't a straight woman just like many of actresses.
Just like Monroe she used her looks to get the spot light but she was not a straight woman.
She was married many times, becuase she had metal issues, she was into women and wanted to be more like a man.
She was nothing but an act.

This abhorrent video spews venomous misogyny towards women without a shred of recognition for the enduring struggles they've faced throughout history. Women have often been forced into situations where their survival depended on difficult choices, or where speaking truth to power led to their vilification and marginalization.
The video's failure to acknowledge this reality is not just ignorant; it's a blatant perpetuation of systemic oppression. It conveniently ignores the countless instances where women have bravely stood up against injustice, only to face retaliation and condemnation.
While it's important to address the injustices and harm caused by individuals, regardless of their gender or race, it's also crucial to recognize the systemic oppression perpetuated by those in positions of power, often white men. The impact of colonialism, slavery, and patriarchal structures continues to reverberate through society, disproportionately affecting marginalized communities.
This callous disregard for the struggles of women and minorities, coupled with the refusal to confront systemic oppression, is not just reprehensible-it's indicative of a deeply ingrained societal bias that must be challenged and dismantled.

It's one thing to be an Anti-war advocate. And quite frankly, THAT war was one America never should have been involved in. However, that doesn't change the fact that Jane Fonda's actions of going over there as a guest of the Enemy was at best Ignorant. At worst, Disrespectful to the soldiers who were being brutally tortured by the very same hosts whom she was happy to entertain and chat up. Soldiers who had no choice in the matter. Soldiers, many of whom were drafted into military service.
Far from a choice when your only options are serve, or be sent to prison for many long years. Her actions were not a form of social justice. Many well-known individuals at the time advocated against the war. They did so in a dignified manner that didn't involve making a spectacle of themselves.

It is difficult to deal with so many people tugging at your sleeves without being short with some of the more rude types. For these famous, very busy women to be always super sweet was an impossibility. The pressure on them must have been tremendous. As far as Joan Crawford and her daughter, having had a sister, I take all that Mother/Daughter conflict as so much static. My view of my mother was VERY different than my sister's view. Writing hit pieces on dead people, who can't respond, is not cricket as the British would say.

Joan left her children nothing in her will when she passed away. That could have been the reason her daughter said terrible things about her.
