You’re absolutely right. Good balance of a family and guard dog type. Hey well socialized now at 5 years old which makes managing him easier. He’s my 5th dog as an adult. I’ve only had bulldogs or staffs, and he’s been the easiest to train, by far. Very sharp and intelligent dog. Bull-headed, but that’s to be expected. Thanks for watching🤙🏾
Beautiful dog man!!! I have a bulldog that looks kinda like this but different colors and whoever I rescued from cropped his ears. But, He turned out great! He's either an american bully or an olde english bulldogge. I have to get his genetics done. But, I heard guys are trying to redo the Olde so it could be one of those. But, Great looking dog you have. I want to try and create a new breed with bulldogs.
Really ,? It depends on what you want a young guy will be suited to the Scott type all day but a wee bit older with not so much young energy running through my veins I think an Alapaha would be a good choice ,I've had s.b.t and pitbulls when I was a teen to in my thirties but they're too manic I want a chill out dog
I have a female Alapaha, about 90 lbs, chocolate brown and some white. I got mine from cove creek kennel. What I've noticed is every Alapaha breeder have dogs that have a distinct look that makes them different from other breeders Alapahas. When I get a male I'm probably going to go to Texas outback kennel. They have some nice dogs also. Anyway your dog is beautiful and energetic and seems to be a quality dog. Thx for sharing.
Thanks for the comment and compliment! Our "Stogie" is by far the most entertaining and goofy dog I've ever owned.. and I've had quite a few going back to childhood. Cove Creek has some VERY nice Alapaha's after looking at their website. I initially wanted a Corso.. then American Bulldog.. but after discovery the Alapaha and their history I had to have one and turned out to be a great choice. You should post some vids of your pup!!
Best breed out there hands down. You noticed that too.. back end to the left? Haaha!! Funny dogs.. love them to death. I wish I had the time & space for another.
I bought one sight unseen from a guy who was a "breeder". The guy is out of Atlanta. I think I got a boxer mix. She sure looks like a boxer now that she is grown. Oh well. I suppose I should have gone to the Atlanta area and actually taken a look at the parents. Not trusted a web site for Alapahas that he was found on. Never do that again. In fact I doubt you can find any real ones left. That site does not seem to be so active any more.
Man.. sorry to hear that. It sounds like you got a great but definitely not what you paid for. Even the breeder we got ours from has not had any new litters in a year or two now. Alapaha breeders are out there, but hard to find and I would definitely go there first to verify the parents and pup you will be getting. Sorry to hear about that. Should you post some vids of your dog. Thanks for watching!
Hello Jeff. They may/may not come in soldier color. It would depend on what the mother throws. Either way, you can't go wrong with these. Link to breeder: cmmcneill4.wixsite.com/website/blank-page
@@thubb6 thx for the response. I know hair is hair but i had alot white dog's i like the predominantly colored. For some reason the white gets everywhere. Lol
@@jeffgalaska9277 Ha! You're right. Unless you have all white clothes, upholstery, etc.. it shows up easily. They've had quite a few multi-colored pups in the past. Black & white, merle pattern, etc.
He’s absolutely beautiful!
Thanks!! He just turned 5😁😁
Wonderful breed. Definitely good family and guard dogs. Although, I heard that they need more experienced owners.

Well he's gorgeous😃. Sadly I'm not likely to see a real livin' breathin' walkin' one here across the pond 🙁 Thanks for sharing 👍
There's lots of blue bloods in the u.k
@@darrenfry4695 I have 2 but to be honest I think that the standard / Alan Scott type is a much better strain of bulldog
