WOW!, been going to Grand Century for years.( not from the area) Didn't know about the other places! Thanks for also showing us "how" to eat it. Also loved your Maui Vids.
Actually, the largest Vietnamese community outside Vietnam is Little Saigon in Orange County which is made up of a lot of smaller cities. But as a singular city, San Jose has the most.
Most of these places are what my Vietnamese co-worker refers to as "White Places". He takes me to the real places in East San Jose along Capital Ave where they don't speak English.
Hi Ian, each person has different favorites. This list was compiled with input from my San Jose Vietnamese friends 😂 These are their top restaurants. So which restaurants would your friend suggest?
Yah you didnt go to a lot in little saigon. No pho tau bay, pho y 1, pho gua hung, no lees sandwiches, no coffee lovers but you did hit Hue so you were in the neighborhood. Def feel like you could make a part 2 for this one
So gorgeous and sexy your hair and your friendly introduce also veitnam noodle...kind of like most veitnam noodles very unique...if i going to there i must eat veitnam noodle and vegetables...i wanna go there noodles haven i like it...

Bun Bo Hue and Vung Tau are our top vietnamese go-to spots for the past 20 years!
Vung Tau is kind of pricey though.
A year ago I literally I went to the same grand century mall as you when i was going on a trip to San Jose
That's so funny and awesomely serendipitous! Are you in the background of any of my shots?? Come say hi the next time :)
No I think I went on a different time then you

Very helpful information!
The greens served on the side with Bun Bo Hue is actually mint, not Thai basil!
Thanks Andy!
Did she said Thai Basil??? That in the video is Peppermint lolz
OC in southern CA has way more
Good video, but the Basil you stated is mint. Just a clarification. Enjoy!
Thanks for the feedback! 👍
a1avan is incorrect. It may not be the basil they are used to but it is not mint. Man Vietnamese place serve this basil as well as mint.
The one thing I learned making this video is that each region has it's own set of fresh herbs for noodle soups. The banana blossoms were new for me!
You didn't rate the last place?!
You are right! It's been awhile but I think that place got a solid 7 out of 10. Good value and the food was decent.
oc got a few of them too.

Your background music sucks
Grand Century Mall IS NOT the oldest😂😂😂
Vung tau is not highly recommended for authentic vietnamese food in SJ
