Just bought tickets to see him live in Clearwater, Fl. Love this guy. I think you would enjoy his early proggy work with Utopia. Check out The Seven Rays or Communion with the Sun. These are good primers to the epics on their first album.
First saw Todd & Utopia May 11, 1974 at Winterland in San Francisco, a few months before his first Utopia album was released...Todd opened the show solo, performing tunes from Wizard a True Star and Something/Anything by playing various instruments (piano/keyboards, guitar, drums) with the other recorded instruments, for the first 45 minutes...He took a 20 minute break (intermission), came back with the Utopia band, and performed all of the music from his first Utopia album that would be release later that year...Blew everyone away!! Utopia was one of the first American Prog-Rock Bands before anyone called it "prog-rock". - Then in May of '78, there were some of Todd's best "Back to the Bars" tour at The Roxy in West Hollywood for 7 nights in a row (2 shows/night); saw 4 of those performances. Over the years I have seen Todd solo and with Utopia at least 40+ shows. Always new and innovative, and just down right Great Music!! Many recording artist owe much to Todd as a record producer (...just ask Daryl Hall). Recently, Todd was voted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!! It's about time! With Peace and Love to all! (Michael)
Oh, though this song does sound like it could be about a couple that broke up and someone is saying never again, Todd actually said it was about his record company aka business crap that went down and he said never again

John Slop thanks for showing Todd with his band Utopia! Awesome dude. So that guitar originally was Eric Clapton’s and was called “ Fools guitar “. Todd got it and put a new neck on it and had repainted. He eventually sold it and believe that person just auctioned it off for over a mill I believe.. Check out Todd’s first band, Nazz! Play the song ‘ Open My Eyes’. Hey here’s Todd back in 77 climbing his pyramid! No safety harness just pure gut and strength climbing this while playing his Veleno Aknh guitar! He did this show over 25 times and never fell off. Todd is Godd and don’t forget he’s also a computer / multimedia genius! ua-cam.com/video/ej9xzLCyiWE/v-deo.htmlsi=BCmfQDiRPvi72DAt

Saw this guy in concert, late 79 or 80. His best work is on Meatloafs Bat out of Hell Album.
That guitar is “The Fool” which had been in Eric Clapton’s and George Harrison’s possession before TR ended up with it.
Saw him twice in the 70s, once headlining, believe it was the Utopia tour, next opening for Blue Oyster Cult where he was in blue jeans and T shirt
